Had my daughter on the phone at just gone 1am.

I think she is getting excited about the wedding......

she had her nails done and a massage today + make-up trial then a facial

yesterday she spent 4hours at the hair dressers having highlights

Life was very simple when I got married......

Is the Big Day today? Hope everything runs smoothly.
Not for another 2 weeks. We just went and got married but, I think more people did then. We only decided a couple of weeks before. It cost very little and was a great excuse for a party. We were lucky with good weather.

Our two daughters each had big white weddings, so I know how you are feeling, Pam.

It's nice when it's over and you have the pleasure in looking back on it. I always think eloping is a good idea.

... I always think eloping is a good idea.

We suggested that....but they decided otherwise.

She did want a church wedding but Andy didn't so she found a venue/hotel where she could 'walk up the aisle' with her dad.

We were married in 6 weeks after I passed my finals.....had to work a 4 week notice otherwise it would have been sooner.

We had everything arranged in 2 days.....

It's really quite a strange feeling as they are doing all the arranging I just keep paying my bits and doing as I'm told......

The worst thing is I've been given the job of collecting her dress from the middle of Birmingham on a Friday :o

I'm going to see her on Tuesday and we're doing a few last minute bits including the bridesmaids fittings.

Then that's it till the Friday before :o

I suppose it makes a difference whether the bride-to-be still lives at home. The first of mine did, the second had moved

a long way away. We were far more involved with the first than the second. I do hope the weather will be kind.

We've just found a dead fox cub in the garden - I have no idea what killed it.

One local boy was playing in the railway sidings, slipped and landed on live rails. He's been quite badly injured.

Another good start to a day.

Children never seem to be aware of danger,no matter how it's impressed upon them, especially when they are in a peer group. I hope he will recover. What a nightmare for his family.

I often smell the foxes in our garden, the musky scent they leave behind, but haven't seen one recently. Holes keep

appearing in the flower beds, but not sure whether these are dug by the foxes or the squirrels.

Squirrels dig small holes everywhere in the lawn. It makes me laugh when they put the top bit back though. It's a bit like 'I didn't dig any holes and haven't taken all the walnuts and buried them'. They don't convince us. m Dave is not thrilled. he's even less thrilled in spring when our lawn threatens to turn into a mini forest with the nuts the squirrels 'lost'

The foxes are forever trying to dig out dens - which we constantly fill in. If the kids leave things outside, they always mess on top of them. They are not my favorite creature but I'd not want to hurt them - persuade them to go somewhere els, yes, damage them no.

Have you heard any news about the boy who was badly hurt?

I've just read Morag's sad news about Claire's baby cousin over on net. I feel so upset for the parents, they must be so

distressed. My thoughts and prayers are with them all.

This happen far to often....railway accidents.

The trouble with electricity is it gones into the body and then out leaving a trail of distruction on it's way :(

I hope he isn't too badly injured

They've actually had to remove some of his muscles. Where he was laying over the live rails they were beyomd repair. He'll survive but he will no longer be playing Rugby and can no longer go into the training team as he wont be able to play proffesionally. His two friends who pulled him off the line are also still being treated for burns in hospital. They were scared that an aspproaching train would kill him. I don't think any of the boys had really understood the dangers - but then, do any of us until we actually face them?

His parents are devastated. They thought he was safe out unsupervised and was sensible enough to know that rail lines are dangerous.

I've just put GWTW away. All i have to do now, is back up the pics. It's such a shame.
Such a terrible thing to happen. what a waste when he could have been a talented rugby player and as well as the physical scars there will be the psychological ones as well, including regret for what might have been.
