I was bored the other night, looking through Myspace music and came across The Proclaimers myspace page (http://www.myspace.com/theproclaimers). I totally forgot about them until now! The music that they have posted on their site is so different from the music everyone thinks of them doing (Im Gonna Be 500 Miles type stuff). I was blown away when I heard a few of the songs on their new CD called Life With You. Has anyone heard it yet? If not then you need to go listen. Christ, I thought PR people were supposed to be tuned in? What's alternative about the Proclaimers? Yeah, I've heard their stuff since '500 Miles' but I'd never put them in here.

yeah should be in specialist as they seem to be somekinda 'celtic soul' singer-songwriter duo for Life With You - however i read that they were seen as indie when they first started as they were signed (from the tube??) as they seemed to be like a Scottish Billy Bragg (who was v indie minded and used to release albums on tape where by oneside was free for you to record other stuff by him on) - if its old stuff they are going on before the hits then i guess its this album as i think its just them two and a guitar - though i guess both them and billy bragg probs would be seem to be too 'folky'.
