Posted April 22, 200817 yr BBC News is showing a report on GWTW shortly. Just had a glimpse of him singing to Scarlett.
April 23, 200817 yr The premiere was on the n ews thimorning, short clip with Darius, the kissing scene from the show, I had to laugh, the presenters said no wonder he loves his work. However they interviewed members of the public and they loved it. The presenter said Les Miserables was panned by the critics and its still running!!! The presenters said its the public that matter.
April 23, 200817 yr nice bit, glad I managed to catch it, why they have these bits on slap at school run time! had to literally throw daughter into the classroom and run! liked the clips and the little Darius bit, they were chuckling at the kissing scene, whne D kisses her breasts..I think that bit looks like a pig rooting for truffles myself..LOL and said no wonder he enjoys his work said its what the audience thik, and those interviewed liked it - mentioned some critics had not liked it so much..bu then Les Mis has been panned and turned out to be the longest runing show in the WE. and mentioned Darius got a standing ovation and that he loked like gable
April 23, 200817 yr there is the trouble - a lot have seen the film and not read the book, so a tash, southern accent and cigar thats Gable...whihc is ill informed!!. in the video clips I have seen he looks like Rhett - to be honest, when I saw the film Gable just niggled me as he wasnt quite the rhett in my head
April 23, 200817 yr Those critics who obviously wanted the film with Gable and Leigh almost unanimously panned the show. It's a shame the critics didn't like the show but if the audiences do, and they tell their friends then the show may do well on word of mouth and certainly it's one which would appeal to tourists in general, not just Americans. Can anyone find the Daily Express one mentioned on the BBC site ( Northern Ireland)
