May 4, 200817 yr Author :heehee: I have all of the compilations from 2001 onwards...I love blasting out the high quality versions on my CD player :P I understand there were compilations in 1999 and 2000 too though they are incredibly rare... on a different note...Belarus and Spain's songs sound far better in new high quality versions and France's is better with the shorter intro the Czech Republic song has been shred to pieces and sounds terrible now

Although tbh, there are only about ten songs that I REALLY like this year, so about 30 that just go straight over my head. :(
May 4, 200817 yr Author its not exactly an amazing collection of songs is it :( hopefully some of the performances will make the songs sound better...at this moment in time there are about 9 or 10 that I will think are excellent, perhaps 3 or 4 that I will come back to in the future to listen to in non-Eurovision season

I'll download them but thats it for me (although I am quite tempted to go and buy it! :D) Ive also managed to get a copy from the net.. but 128kbps only, I want higher :D so unless someone actually does post a higher rip, I might dig deep and go buy a copy. Since 2004, Ive always bought the DVDs.. and occassionally buy some oldies on ebay from the £1 seller :D I'll again be buying the DVD this year.. its nice to have a good quality version of the contest that you can just stick on with no commentary.. Terry Wogan is great but there comes to a point on eurovision night when you're like "ok ok shut it now!" as he's rabbitting on 30 seconds into the songs.
May 6, 200817 yr I understand there were compilations in 1999 and 2000 too though they are incredibly rare... There were compilations for both 1999 and 2000. Although I have problems with them: 1999 - Four songs are missing (therefore missing the point of the compilation. :rolleyes:) 2000 - All the songs were there, but are in a jumbled-up order. They were in order between 2001 and 2003, then in the ISO order for 2004 onwards (although they made a couple mistakes with it in 2004.)

I really want a high quality rip of the CD! anything 192kbps and higher! nope I found that on another esc forum... and the cd here usualy comes out after esc with the DVD :) and the rip I have is 128kbps but it's a satisfying sound quality for now ^_^

OK, So I Pre-ordered the Official CD :unsure: I normally download them but no decent quality rip has emerged so I just decided to go and buy it!. does anyone know when the Official DVD releases? would like to pre-order it too.
