Posted April 24, 200817 yr Arctic Monkeys win US NME award The Arctic Monkeys have been named best international band at the first NME awards USA in Los Angeles. The winners are voted for by readers of the magazine's website in America and the publication's editors. Killers were the big winners with two awards for best band and track for Tranquilize, their collaboration with Lou Reed. Former Clash guitarist Mick Jones got a lifetime inspiration award with Juno winning best film. April 24, 200817 yr Oh good. ^_^ I'm not suprised though seeing as they're pretty big in the US, well, for an indie band. :P ^_^
