Don't change just because I prefer it. I don't exactly reflect the general BJSC taste too well.

True, but I want to appeal to as many people as possible. I know Cherri V won't have any chance of that, but it's probably my favourite. :(

Leighton stops in Quotosibb

Liechenstaan's 7th entry to the contest, 'Your Love's A Drug' by the sexy Leighton Meester is to represent them in Quotosibb, victors of the previous contest with Marina & The Diamonds, currently massive in Liechenstaan. On competing in Quotosibb, Leighton said "I'm so happy to finally be here, and wish the best of luck to Quotosibb and everyone else!". When asked who she'd like to see represent Quotosibb she said "oh, Cherri V, definately! I've only just heard it, but it's so instant and catchy!". Leighton will be back in 8 days for the results of the semi finals!

Thank you Leighton for visting and giving an opinion. :D

I still can't decide. It's between Cherri V and Wolf Gang for sure. Cherri will likely struggle to appeal outside the people that can handle rap, Wolf Gang seems to have more potential but I'm not sure.

Funnily enough I much prefer Wolf Gang; but I think Cherri V would do better. I personally think your third selection sounds lovely, but is the type of entry that would do relatively poorly as it is everybody's favourite 12th best song so does not pick up the pointage if that makes sense.

But what the hell do I know.

Well this confuses me. Saying you think Cherri V would do better makes me more confident about sending it, but you actually prefer Wolf Gang so it doesn't exemplify this.

I agree with your opinion on Sky as well. I think it's beautiful, but not really a BJSC song.

Yes, but the songs I normally give my points to, generally don't do so well in the Buzzjack Song Contest. There was one final where I gave all my points to songs that all failed to finish in the Top 10! Hence my comments.

Ah right then.

I dunno, for some reason I see Cherri struggling most between the two. Wolf Gang is the less isolating of the two, it could appeal to anyone. Cherri V will likely isolate the scandi/anti-rap bloc and won't do much for the indie voters.

Skool Daze thx. Number One Enemy overcame Chipmunk, did it not?

But Wiley has TWO rap verses and is slightly less BJ friednyl. :(

You liking "Skool Daze" best does throw me in a right quandary though. I thought the other two could be more your thing, being a Miike Snow cover and a sort-of-but-not-quite Mika-meets-SoA thing.

Quotosibb Go Male - World Ending?

In an event that has shocked many, Quotosibb have selected an all male act as their 20th entry. Quotosibb have been known to be hard to please when it comes to tracks with all male vocals, so this decision has left the media baffled - especially when this is the 20th entry sent by the country. Not only that, but no other country has such a prestigious 100% qualification record, it's an unusual decision to switch things up before hitting the big 20. The song selection committee had this to say "it was always the plan to send Wolf Gang and Cherri to XXIV and XXV, in whatever order. We have faith in these new British talents and believe Wolf Gang can match, if not better the result achieved by Cherri last month". However, the bookmakers are already receiving a hefty number of bets on this being the first DNQ for Quotosibb.

We at QbTV actually like the track, it's got a catchy sound, but what do you think? Will Quotosibb need to bring the king and all of their men to the semi finals held in BaNG next week?
