February 20, 200817 yr Now we've got these videos talking about Jill and Darius but not even one picture of them flashes across the screen.
February 21, 200817 yr Author The moustache should have been grown by now - I wonder how wardrobe are doing.
February 21, 200817 yr I don't think Darius will rush to grow the moustache. It won't take him 6 weeks. Someone on DS said he/she saw him in London last week and he/she didn't mention a moustache.
February 21, 200817 yr Author I'd have loved to get a look in the theatre but, it was crawling with workmen.
February 21, 200817 yr I thought the New London was refurbished recently. I don't know if I'll like the atmosphere in a sixties built theatre. It's terribly modern.
February 21, 200817 yr Author It is. I love the older theatres but, I'll live with this one as it's where GWTW and Darius are.
February 21, 200817 yr It's supposed to be one of the most versatile theatres and of course it has a revolving stage.
February 21, 200817 yr Author I wonder if they are going to use that feature. We'll have to wait until April to find out.
February 22, 200817 yr Sir Trevor Nunn has launched a few musicals including Cats and Les Miserables at the New London and has directed plays there too so he'd be very familiar with it. You'd think that it would have been at the back of his mind when they were working on GWTW.
February 22, 200817 yr Author I can't remember where I saw Cats. It was ages ago. It didn't have a revolving stage that I can remember. 'Les Mis' was another musical I was avoidingbut, having gone to 'Chicago' I started seeing her ones again and absolutelu loved it.
February 22, 200817 yr I don't think I'd seen a musical for a couple of years before Darius went into Chicago. Chicago was not one I'd ever thought of seeing.
February 22, 200817 yr Author Me neither. As I've said before, last ones I saw were 'Stomp' and 'The Full Monty' - disliked both and didn't bother again. 'Chicago' really didn't appeal then but it does now.
February 22, 200817 yr I watched the DVD after I heard Darius was doing it and I quite enjoyed the film but D's first night was amazing. You know I reckon Darius could have done that Richard Gere tap dance if it had been in the stage version.
February 22, 200817 yr Author I really hated the film. It didn't look to me tha Richard Gere did tap dance. The interconnecting scenes wouldn't have worked on stage, it'd have had to be done very differently. I thought D's version of Billy Flynn was much more like a lawyer.
February 23, 200817 yr Richard Gere did do the tap dance. It took three months. Now the GWTW website is being added to, I hope we get more photos.
February 23, 200817 yr I watched the DVD after I heard Darius was doing it and I quite enjoyed the film but D's first night was amazing. You know I reckon Darius could have done that Richard Gere tap dance if it had been in the stage version. Was everyone else as nervous as me for D on his first night in Chicago? I can honestly say, I was sat waiting for him to grace the stage and I began breathing more and more heavily until he appeared. Typical that it would be almost half an hour before we got to see his first appearance  As soon as he finished the first song, I knew he was fine and would excell :) Richard Gere did do the tap dance. It took three months. Now the GWTW website is being added to, I hope we get more photos. Crikey, thats's one long tapdance
February 23, 200817 yr I was sitting right at the edge of my seat first night. I was trying to enjoy the show but I don't think I took much in until "Is everybody here?" I was impatient to see him - the "We want Billy" seemed to take ages. I relaxed almost immediately. It was clear he was in his element and enjoying it. Although I'd to wait for him in G&D too, I wasn't worried until it got close to the Havana scene. I could feel myself getting anxious for him but he absolutely astounded me.
