That little peek at the set has allayed my fears of a really dark and dismal set.

 

It looks like the building with pillars is sitting on the revolving part of the stage.

Jill's head is at a strange angle in the pic. Is Darius carrying her?

 

Could this be the controversial scene where Rhett decides he isn't being locked out any more. The one where Gable stormed up the stairs with Vivien Leigh struggling in his arms?

Good to see new pics. Some seats are almost part of the set. I can't wait to see how it works. I wonder when the theatre will be finished.

The book describes Rhett in detail. It's said Margaret Mitchell based him on a real person. Rhett has a moustache. I'm trying to merge the two pictures in my mind, Tousled hair and stubble with moustache.

You wouldn't think it was possible. It doesn't seem to have supports below. But then again it has what looks like boards all the way along as if it is indeed a walkway.

 

Maybe it's a track for shifting the upper scenery.

my husband said the same thing about a walkway up there when I showed him the picture - surely health and safety issues no railings and supports etc - I wouldnt want a random actor landing on me - there again........

I really need to see this set.

I wonder what's over on the side which isn't shown in the picture, the part which the two guys seem to be studying intently.

 

The 3 headless ones at the back look like Scarlett, Rhett and either Uncle Peter or Pork.

I have noticed they ahve a space for rehearsal photos on the sigths part of the official gwtw site, but nothing is showing yet! I am dying to see some updates soon!
