May 4, 200817 yr I don't get what your point is though. :manson:  EVERY Artist/or Band (except The Beatles) are critisized or attacked by critics, reviewers in their time, but loved by their fans. Every artist has been through (going through = Wino, recovering from = Britney), some sort of backlash, but it dosn't mean they arn't good. Wino is amazing and Britney delivered one of the best albums of last year. So what are you getting at exactly?

And just like you think bsb music was dreadfull people also thought the same with spice girls it wasn';t considered "Real Music" with any depth. you really have no idea how hated the spice girls were at one point in their carees due to them being overexsposed??? not only the critics but some fans also thought it was too much spice girl out there and then they went and released a movie. Wino has been talked about alot but she's talented and i dont believe the media ever turned againt her the same way they did erhm joss stone??? remember her?? look at the backlcash she got which resulted in her lowest selling album in the uk?? the media are expert it making people turn against an artist/band and make them seem "Uncool" and "Embarssing" to like. britney well she went throught alot but i gott give props to her producers for her album being good. And britney was never really hated. Britney never hated? Ever since 2005 the media has made a joke out of her. I still don't get what your point is. Yes the Spice Girls where hated, and so is almost every other act around today. Look at McFly, no one likes them, yet they still have their own 'strong' fanbase like everyone else. I think Backstreet Boys are crap, my own opinion.

May 4, 200817 yr as written in the article this is very true....."People who aren't little girls (or gay men) usually loathe most things about boy bands, from the formulaic songs to the fact that actual talent tends to play a secondary role" this is the problem with boybands, image comes first not the music ie good songs, the attraction factor is so important and sells cds. with busted and mcfly the bar was raised cause they "could play instruments" and made the 90s versions extinct and less credible cause they couldn't. however as a few have written already take that is a superior boy band and appeals to more people. the secret to take that's success has always been gary barlow's input, the man can write a good pop song and that is noticed and appreciated by the wider public and this makes them credible. their sound now is mature it doesn't focus on getting teenage girls or the gay market to buy them. the songs come first. the problem with mcfly is that the songs are so forgettable, the one who writes them isn't very good not in the league of the barlow
