We Are The Champions (Ding A Dang Dong) [Radio Edit] 2. We Are The Champions (Ding A Dang Dong) [Club Mix 1] 3. We Are The Champions (Ding A Dang Dong) [Club Mix 2] 4. We Are The Champions (Ding A Dang Dong) [Dub Mix 1] 5. We Are The Champions (Ding A Dang Dong) [Enhanced Section - Video] We Are The Champions [flash=450,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eGdNhk0IDh8.swf HMV Says: The ringtone phenomenon of 2005 comes at us once again with a new single, the World Cup anthem, 'We Are The Champions'. Having spent four weeks No.1 with 'Axel F', reached No.12 with the follow up 'Popcorn' and landed a Top 5 Christmas single with 'Jingle Bells' in December last year, The Frog has now sold over 700,000 singles in the UK alone. This is, as you'd expect, is a "special" cover of Queen's 1977 rock anthem, given the Crazy Frog treatment.
May 27, 200619 yr It's really bad, but not half as bad as that 'Jingle Bells' christmas single. I really like the video though, and I can always watch it on mute when it comes on the TV.
May 27, 200619 yr Where will it chart? Poll here http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6109
May 28, 200619 yr What a piece of sh!t...... And people question the validity of the videos I put up on this forum..... Surely this isn't what Dance/Techno greats such as Derrick May, Carl Cox, A Guy Called Gerald, The Hartnolls and Alex Patterson envisaged when they pioneered the whole movement way back when.....
May 30, 200619 yr I dont consider Crazy Frog dance, just novelty So why put it in the "Dance" section then, when it's clearly Pop....? As I said, I got bitched at for putting in vids for Covenant, Apop, Hocico and others and if you ask me they fit into the dance/techno category far more than this manufactured Pop tripe......
May 30, 200619 yr Look, stop picking at him for putting it in here. Most people who've posted Crazy Frog topics on other forums put it in the dance section too, so lay off him. Thank you.
May 30, 200619 yr Author Thanks for sticking up for me, Aly. I put in dance as I had a link to a clip of the song from catchytunes website, which is a dance label. The link has been edited out though and replaced with a video (not by me). I dont like Crazy Frog just thought I'd share this disbelief with people.

I wasnt getting at you as such, I just wondered why I was criticised for doing something perfectly reasonable, and from what another poster told me, they got criticised for putting Chemical Brothers video up, I mean, wtf.....? It just seems that no one has a clue what constitutes Dance/Techno/Electronic and what constitutes Pop..... For my mind, stuff like this, Brittany Murphy, Infernal and Goldfrapp fall under Pop without a doubt. But I can understand the confusion, the lines have gotten blurred over the past five years or so and so nobody can really tell it apart (hence the Brit Awards doing away with the Dance Category...), it's happening all over though, bands such as Kaiser Chiefs and Keane are being regarded as "Indie" when they clearly are not. I really blame the record industry and the music press for this....
May 31, 200619 yr For my mind, stuff like this, Brittany Murphy, Infernal and Goldfrapp fall under Pop without a doubt. It's certainly unclear. I'm happy this is in dance, but it could just as easily be in pop, the previous crazy Frog tracks have been more dance then pop. Perhaps not this track. Brittany Murphy, Infernal and Goldfrapp are all dance or electronic according to itunes. Problem determining what is what is not something specfic to this forum, but the music industry as a whole it seems.

Your hard-core clubbers would never countenance the likes of Crazy Frog being described as Dance though..... , Goldfrapp certainly started out her career in the underground club scene, but she's gone overground into mainstream acceptance now, miraculously managing not to dumb down in the process. But she's the exception, for every 1 Goldfrapp there's about 100 Brittany Murphys or Rachel Stevens'.... I remember a mate of mine waaaaay back in the early 90s was totally resistant to Dance/Techno in the early 90s cos of chart tripe like 2 Untalented, then he heard stuff like LFO, Aphex Twin, Orbital, FSOL, etc and just got totally into it....
May 31, 200619 yr Just another event to make another excuse to make another trashy record to make more money -_-
June 2, 200619 yr I hate to say it but this is one of the best World Cup songs and videos I've seen so far this year :o I'm actually hoping it does well  Though didn't the people behind the Frog say there would be no more singles?
June 2, 200619 yr Its got an ok video, but it isn't the best world cup song; the best one IMO is by 2-D or summit like that with the 2-D cartoons of all the players.
June 2, 200619 yr I'd question the sanity of anyone buying this. And it shouldn't be in this section, no.

I think this is excellent and I have actually gone out and bought my copy hoping and praying that it will knock that Sandi Thom cow off the number 1 spot. If it doesn't get to number 1, then anyone than that cow should take the top spot. CRAZY FOG RULES 4EVA!!!!
