There was no sign, of FREEMASONS today, DUFFY is still hanging on with WARWICK AVENUE, and SARA BAREILLES also knocks about the top 70. Also, in the outer reaches of the full chart are CRISIS, DELAYS and the HMV pre-order of the week is JAMES FOX/CARDIFF CITY FC, in HMV the pre-orders are putting it, in the top 3! Last week we had 36 in the 40, so once again we did ok....late arrivals of downloads by WILEY, PENDULUM, SCRIPT, and ASHLEE SIMPSON caught us out. How did we do with the singles 14 years ago, in 1994?.... This was Monday 25th April 94 01 01 MOST BEAUTIFUL GIRL - PRINCE 02 02 MMM MMM MMM MMM - CRASH TEST DUMMIES 03 06 SWEETS FOR MY SWEET - CJ LEWIS 04 04 THE REAL THING - TONY DE BART 05 03 ALWAYS - ERASURE 06 08 DEDICATED TO THE ONE I LOVE - BITTY MCCLEAN 07 22 I`LL STAND BY YOU - PRETENDERS 08 25 JUST A STEP FROM HEAVEN - ETERNAL 09 40 LIGHT MY FIRE - CLUBHOUSE 10 24 UNDER THE BRIDGE - RED HOT CHILLI PEPPERS 11 09 I LIKE TO MOVE IT - REEL TO REAL 12 10 100% PURE LOVE - CRYSTAL WATERS 13 05 EVERYTHING CHANGES - TAKE THAT 14 11 STREETS OF PHILADELPHIA - BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN 15 NE INSIDE - STILTSKIN 16 14 ROCK MY HEART -HADDAWAY 17 41 MONEY - SKIN (E.P.) 18 NE DREAMS - CRANBERRIES 19 21 ANOTHER SAD LOVE SONG - TONI BRAXTON 20 13 THE SIGN - ACE OF BASS 21 NE OBJECTS IN THE REAR VIEW MIRROR - MEAT LOAF 22 26 ALL OVER YOU - LEVEL 42 23 23 MR JONES - COUNTING CROWS 24 43 HOLD THAT SUCKER DOWN - OT QUARTET 25 28 MISLED - CELINE DION 26 12 YOU GOTTA BE - DES`REE 27 35 COME ON YOU REDS - MAN UTD FC 28 15 DOOP - DOOP 29 27 AS IF WE NEVER SAID GOODBYE - BARBRA STRIESAND 30 NE PHIL COLLINS - WE WAIT AND WE WONDER 31 NE RUN BABY RUN - SHERYL CROW 32 NE BREAKAWAY - ZZ TOP 33 NE SATURDAY NIGHT SUNDAY MORNING - TEMPO 34 NE ELTON JOHN AND MARCELLA DETROIT - AIN`T NOTHING LIKE THE REAL THING 35 44 BECOMING MORE LIKE GOD - JAH WOBBLES 36 42 IT WILL BE YOU - PAUL YOUNG 37 NE SILENT SCREAM - RICHARD MARX 38 NE LIKE A SHOT - CYPRESS HILL 39 16 WHATTA MAN - SALT N` PEPA/EN VOGUE 40 17 THINGS CAN ONLY GET BETTER - DEE:REAM I was never a fan of 1994 because it drew up that ghastily make believe reggae feel from the likes of SHAGGY, and the just as bad CJ LEWIS!! Givew me proper reggae and ska anyday! Is that why we had a bad week with only 31 in the top 40?!! That`s what came of listening to Dr Neil Fox, on the Pepsi Chart. They championed both PHIL COLLINS and ELTON JOHN/MARCELLA DETROIT and both songs did not do that well, in the Official Chart...Elton peaked at 24 (13 on the PEPSI CHART) and PHIL went to 48 officially, and 22 on the PEPSI CHART. Dave will do the honours later in the week, with the top 40, without downloads only (probably Weds, he tells me....since he is lodging with us, at the mo). How will we do on our preview today?.....time will only tell!
April 28, 200817 yr I love to see The Script going top 10 tomorrow. It be great if Madonna can hang on another week, she could do it by just a small margin. It be interesting if she does the double. Thanks for posting.

April 28, 200817 yr I see you haven`t got Ben`s Brother in yours either, why`s that then? I can't imagine they will sell enough physicals to lift them from no.70 into the top 40
April 28, 200817 yr Author I can't imagine they will sell enough physicals to lift them from no.70 into the top 40 It`s number 8, in HMV`s sales chart today.
April 28, 200817 yr Author H Two O's single is called What's It Gonna Be and not What We Gonna Do :D I know Ben, I`m just thinking about this other "new" group called "Last Shadow Prophets", I know where Dave`s been this afternoon......The pub! I should`ve checked it before I typed it up! First there were 2 number 28s, and now I have seen the other 2 errors. It`s worse than the local paper!

May 4, 200817 yr well Trevs we both got 35 right :P I was wrong to put Lil' Wayne and Delays in, you were wrong to put Hadouken and Ben's Brother in (I told you they wouldn't chart lol) and we both got Kylie, Fragma and Wideboys wrong
May 4, 200817 yr Author well Trevs we both got 35 right :P I was wrong to put Lil' Wayne and Delays in, you were wrong to put Hadouken and Ben's Brother in (I told you they wouldn't chart lol) and we both got Kylie, Fragma and Wideboys wrong Ha Ha! It was a near miss for Ben`s Brother though, what! Just missed at 41. :D. I shall have to do that chart, pretty much alone tomorrow...with no Dave, and Peter (mr hmv) Jay, on his hols. Never mind, I shall get into the various systems! Who else announces, a chart on a Bank Holiday, ay! Lol :yahoo:
May 4, 200817 yr yes I was shocked that it went up so much, seeing as I didn't see the physical anywhere...but shame for them to just miss the top 40 like that...Hadouken were miles away
