15. No More; Roni Size; Dynamite

This is quite a catchy lil number that was out in early 2005, I really liked it at the time ^_^ Was done to go against bullying I think it was? Well anyway yeh its good I think and just scraped my #15, and it reached #26 or something in the official charts I think, was definately top 30. Deserves a listen at least.
I like No More, shame it didnt do much though. I think it was Gun Crime actaully instead of bulluying

That's actually one of the only Beverley Knight songs I've never heard. I have all her albums and a lot of B-Sides.

I shall give it a listen later. ^_^ It sounds like a good song.

14. Piece Of My Heart

A really good cover I love it :D not one of my top 10 faves though, her longest running track in the charts too, I think she has alot more songs which were more deserving of success than this.

"take another little piece of my heart now baby"

This is my favourite version of "Piece Of My Heart", I love the song in general though. I think this would probably be about the same position in my chart. This doesn't feature in my top 100 which has about 12-13 Beverley Knight songs in it, I think this was in the top 120 with a few more Bev songs in front of it.

I'd rather have another song as her longest running as this makers her look like her "best song" is a cover. Unless you go by chart positions, in which case "Come As You Are" looks like her best song, which is more accurate, but I think she has a few that are better.

Typing this post made me realise that I've managed to forget one of her best non-MCS album tracks on my top 100. (look at me, making this all about me )

I'm liking your countdown so far. ^_^ (phew I made it back about Simon)

Do actually have a set top 100 :o I have a rough idea of my 100 which I did aaaages ago would look really different now though especially as it was before About You Now/Denial/Work came out as I'm sure them 3 would be in my top 100  as would Bleeding Love.

Anyway lol time for 13 :D

13. Made It Back

I really like this song, really a good upbeat cheery lil number ^_^ She looks great in the '99 video too

Edited by Simon.

Two great songs there. Shame Piece Of My Heart didnt make the top 10 as i really thought it would.

About a week ago I tried working out a top 100 songs in Excel. I tried working it down to a list, but every so often I think "how could I have forgotten to put _____ on the list?!" and then every time I look at it I swap songs about and stuff. That's the thing, my list changes about so often, even the top 3, that I find it hard to finalise the list. Plus, I'm not sure whether to post it since it's nearly all females and recent music.

All of the songs you mentioned except 'Denial' are currently on my list. ^_^

Anyway, "Made It Back" is great. It's one of those songs that I don't associate with Beverley at all, I never used to think she was the artist who sang it. I'm surprised it peaked that low, I always assumed it was a big hit. I mean most people must have heard "I, oh I, made it back, from a place called nowhere" at some point and I'm not saying this because I'm a fan of hers, I just think it's a recognisable song.

I think 13 is a good position for it, I don't think I would rate it this highly, but I still love this song, it goes to show how great she is.

12. Relate [Come As You Are B-Side]

No video for this, but I've bought it twice off iTunes once last summer but lost it then I downloaded it on monday night or tuesday I think it was lol, really you need to check it out its such a good ballad

11. No Mans Land

I'll admit at first listen I was extremely disappointed with this as I wanted another stormer like Come As You Are to introduce the album but in time I think this is a classic  the lyrics are great I love and to make it better the video was really summery

10. Tea & Sympathy

What a song :o I love it, one of the best ones off Affirmation, still a few more album tracks from affirmation to come think theres another 2 but yep this is a great song download it b**ch. No video for these album tracks either :( bast*rds

09. Greatest Day

Such a feel good song I love it :o really hard to put the rest of the top 10 in any order they are all too good now, this should have done loads better than I think 13?

No More; don't know this!

Piece Of My Heart; boring, uninspired cover version.

Made It Back; a tad boring.

Relate; don't know this one

No Man's Land; utterly fabulous! Shame it wasn't huge :(

Tea & Sympathy - Amazing ballad. Gorrrgeous like moi. :P

Greatest Day - I love this! One of her best singles easily. Great vid too.

Well done Simon. Your life is fulfilled. ^_^

No Mans Land, is onr of my favourites from her. It is amazingly stunning and it was shamefyl that it only reached #43

Ooh look some elves have uploaded "Relate" and "Tea & Sympathy" over night. :kink:

Relate:

Tea & Sympathy:

I think "Relate" is a really good song, better than some of the songs that did make "Affirmation". I don't listen to it that much though and I should listen to it more. (as if I wasn't Beverley obsessed already )

I felt the same as you about "No Man's Land" when I first heard it. I thought it was quite dull and bland, much like I did with "A&E" by Goldfrapp, now I think they're both beautiful songs. "No Man's Land" is one of my favourite songs ever now, it should have made the the top 40 at the very least. I particularly like the acoustic version she performed on Loose Women.

"Tea & Sympathy" is a great album track, "Affirmation" is good album overall though. "Greatest Day" is another song, like "Made It Back" that I didn't think was by her. I think it's great.

omg did you put those up Aaron :o

maaaybe. Parlophone are gonna sue me now. :drama:
