Posted April 30, 200817 yr MTV Compares New Coldplay Song to Maroon 5 In their review of Coldplay's new single "Violet Hill," MTV has this to say: The song suddenly shifts from spacey to stomping, thanks to some muscular guitar and piano chords. [The] momentum builds and builds until guitarist Jonny Buckland throws in a curling solo that coasts into a smoother, sexier and, dare we say, Maroon 5-esque midsection, complete with [Chris] Martin crooning 'If you loved me/ Why'd you let me go?' ..." I actually think this is a positive thing even if it says 'dare we say'. I don't really see any comparison myself but Coldplay's new single is quite good ^_^
