May 3, 200817 yr Boris is box office though, the likes of him get people out to vote, the number of people that turned out to vote in the mayor election was a MASSIVE increase on 2004 so it shows that the likes of Johnson get young people interested in politics as a result of his comedy shows he has been on and so on I think the fact that Johnson got people to vote who would not normally vote is a good thing for politics

Yes, the Liberal party lost a lot of clout when Charles Kennedy was forced out, but to continually switch between polar opposites is ridiculous. Yes, I know there's little between them in practice at the moment, but in principal they are. That said, Ken is about as left wing as Labour gets while Boris is as right as the Tories get...so why on earth the big swing to Boris?
