Elvis Joins The Beatles Exhibit

 

Elvis Presley's custom made leather guitar cover, seen frequently in the 1950's is being loaned to The Beatles Story in Liverpool as part of a special exhibit that marks Elvis' influence on the Fab Four.

I saw this on the Liverpool Echo website earlier today. It's really good to see that the organisers of the Beatles exhibition have included an Elvis item in their display. They are both music greats and yes, Elvis did have a great influence on the Beatles

Elvis meets the Beatles

 

For what it’s worth: Liverpool, European Capital of Culture 2008, is hosting a Beatles Week Festival from 20 to 26 August featuring... Elvis! Bands from more than 20 countries and fans from more than 40 will be travelling to the city for live concerts, art exhibitions, record fairs, guest speakers, video shows, tours, a fleamarket and a Convention. Highlight of the Festival is (on 21 August) the show ‘Elvis meets The Beatles’ at the Cavern Club. Liverpool is Europe's Cultural Capital this year.
