can you think of any flops that were actually all right?

oh by the way here are the greatest commercial flops of all time by % loss between budget and what was taken at the box office

1. Pluto Nash - 96%

2. Heaven's Gate - 93%

3. Monkeybone - 93%

4. Town and Country - 93%

5. Gigli - 92%

6. Cutthroat Island - 90%

7. The Postman - 82%

8. Raise the Titanic - 80%

9. Ishtar - 77%

10. 3000 Miles To Graceland - 75%

now out of those i've seen only Monyeybone which i thought was actually all right, even if it was demented.

the old movie buff at work mel, says that Heaven's Gate was messed up by the studio and actually in the directors cut dvd all right. but the rest pluto nash, gigli   think you'd have to pay me to watch them (and i can admit to having Jersey Girl in my collection   )

actually quite ok. and charmed fans spot the pussycat!!!

Trouble with the numbers your using don't include dvd sales/rentals, so some of the films are probably less in the red then them
I kinda thought Cimino's three and a half hour cut of "Heaven's Gate" was actually pretty good... Only thing wrong with it that I could see was having Harvard University standing in for Oxford for some bizarre reason.....

The old film guy says that as well, says its a good film. however he says the original release in the cinema got so mangled by the film company who wanted a shorter film (so more people per day could see it i guess) that the edited version ended up a mess

so which are those 2 then?

if you must know,

Around the world in 80 days

Chronicles of Riddick
