I know that this is a silly question but why does Janet always gets those short interludes in her albums? Very few artists do something like that, at least recurringly.

I guess it's just a thing she likes to do? :heehee: It seems to divide fan opinion. I think they're ok though. On Discipline, there are a few decent interludes - Truth Or Dare and Bathroom Break
My personal favourite is "Rain" :kink:

The interludes drive me up the wall.

I put up with it for Rhythm Nation 1814 as I assumed it was a one off project.I bought the next 2 or 3 CD's (or recieived as gifts) but I just can't listen to them.Honestly, her interludes have stopped me from buying her albums. Please, somebody make her stop already.

I still listen to her early material though, all the time - just not the 90s stuff onwards.

All that badly acted ,fake giggling, moaning and groaning nonsense, just ruins the flow and gets in the way of some (otherwise) pretty good music.

Call me old fashioned, but when I buy a cd by a singer ,I like to press 'play' and hear.....singing !
