Let's be realistic about Madonna's sales... she didn't come off of a HUGE US album [confessions only sold 1 mil] so it's not like she was going to open with sales of like 400k was it.

 

OK 4 Minutes is bigger than "Hung Up" but the market has also shrunk HUGELY since then.

 

Another thing to consider is if she had released during November/December her sales would probably be at 400-450k.

i dont really like madonna

but why does it matter overly that her sales arent 400+

she sold amazingly

and will continue to be sucessful with watever she does

even tho i wish she wud just retire already

Madonna's sales are good. She has the 3rd biggest week of the year.

 

As for Blackout....well you have to remeber it was reelased during pre-festive period! Sales were way bigger! Confessions was released in that time and sold 350K back in 2006. Hard Candy will definitely outsell both E=MC2 and Blackout worldwide in the end.
