ROTFL! "A couple of thousands" is actually the gap between a top5 (or close to) and a low top20 :lol: So OF COURSE it will signficantely afect their chart position!

And anyway, how can you be so sure it will bring "a couple of thousands at best"? You can't have clue, so don't make it look so sure.

A #5 song sells 17k or so. A song at say #17 sells about 9k. Those positions are not so sales-wise close as you suggest AT ALL.

 

And because text sales are such an awfully unsophisticated manner of downloading and have never taken off. If you seriously think they'll have got thousands of text sales you're very mistaken.

Erm, YOU said they could get a couple of thousands of downloads! That could help them to secure a top10 placing, whatever you say.

 

And after all, there have been about 300.000 people seeing them live on the GA tour, so for sure that will bring them some sales (texts, downloads or even physical cds).

How lazy of them not even bothering to sing live, the song however has grown on me somewhat though i still think it will miss the top 5.

I don't understand why people think this will perform so badly.

Miming on some tinpot TV show is no big deal. It's only a big deal I think if people pay to see them perform live and they mime.

I don't think they should be criticised for being mimed, it won't have been their choice. GMTV make people mime a lot of the time sadly. Frankie slips at 2:27 :P And their interview on the ultimate cheesy chat show, Richard Arnold:
