well they looked alot better with long hair, Hetfeild should drop the beard he has atm, it makes him look old as it is grey :(

Well Kirk has grown it back now, which is good. it looked horrible in 1997. Tom from Slayer also needs a shave, a beard doen't suit him, he looks like a tramp.

He doesn't need to shave it all, just groom it a bit, maybe turn it into a goatee.... Extreme Metal and Goatees go pretty well..... :lol:

7 minutes and 40 seconds later and I still don't want it to end. I first heard this song about a year ago I think and I loved it. Im not really a fan of Metallica but I love this song and that was the second time I've ever watched that video. I knew basically what it was about but now John has fully explained it puts a whole new meaning to the song. Just take a second to think about what that must be like to be in that position, not being able to communicate or be communicated with. It's so sad :(

nice too see another 'tallica fan in the forum. However i brought Megadeth's new album today and wasn't impressed by it that much, Washington is Next and Sleepwalker are the only real highlights, Mustaine will never top Rust in Peace or Peace Sells.

"St Anger" was a dreadful album, incredibly boring.... To be honest though, I think the likes of Megadeth and Metallica have had their day... Slayer are really the only band of that era that are consistently coming up with the goods, "Christ Illusion" was a pretty impressive 40 minutes, tight, economic, to the point. No messing around, and I really loved "God Hates Us All" as well, a seriously under-rated album full of cracking Metal songs.... What I've heard of Megadeth's new one just does not impress me at all tbh.... Mustaine will never recapture the awesomeness of the first three Megadeth albums... And Machine Head's new album just blows everything out of the water, they are the future of Metal, mind you Rob Flynn has been doing the rounds for years in bands like Forbidden and Violence, but what he's tapped into with the last two Machine Head albums is truly something amazing, long may his inspiration continue... And I am saying this as someone who has been listening to Metal for over 21 years now..... I can honestly say that what "The Blackening" made me feel was exactly what "Masters of Puppets", "Among The Living" or "Reign In Blood" made me feel way back in '87/'88 when I first heard them.....

Check out my Top 60 Fave Metal tunes on this very Forum, not anywhere NEAR completing it yet though, I've lost my damn list.... :lol: :lol: Interested to see any comments you have so far though.... Oh, and please try and get some of your fellow Metallers onto this Forum, me and John are currently fighting a battle to keep it pure from all the bloody Emo c**p that people want to force on us.... <_<

Indeed, have you seen the film it's based on? apparently it's quite rare.

I've got it on DVD :), well my friend has and I borrowed it from him :). It's on Amazon and Metallica even bought the rights to it so they could use it on this video!!.

i dont know why i havent commented on this before as Metallica re amazing! I learnt 'One' on guitar today, very complicated alot of parts. they are about 99.99% sure for Reading Fest this year!!!!! which will mean i will get to see them live :D hopefully the new album wont be like that st anger which i currently use the sleeve of to wipe my arse, however i will get to see the legends live, so haha to whoever hasnt seen them.

give me the creeps to watch this video!! AWESOME metallica at its best!
