Portugal had 3 official songs charts now:

 

1. Singles - which has base only on digital sales, 'cause since a few years their hasn't physical singles market. AFP stop compiling physical only singles chart 4 years ago, 'cause "the market in singles has become too small and the sales charts do not give professionals a realistic reading of the sector".

 

The new digital only singles chart is compiling by Nielsen for Billboard since last year and has base on sales at following stores: e-Music, iTunes Portugal, Musicaonline, MusicBrigade and SAPO.

 

In Dec. last year also Italian FIMI stop compiling physical only singles chart, 'cause their physical singles market decrease and also most of singles are available only on digital. Since this year digital only singles chart compiling by Nielsen for FIMI represent Italy in the world (like before physical only chart of course) and is use to Billboard's European Hot 100 Singles (as first digital only chart in history).

 

Portuguese hasn't use, 'cause AFP doesn't had proper agreements with Nielsen and Billboard yet. Their still send only albums chart to Billboard, which is use to European Top 100 Albums. Portuguese digital sales are use to both Billboard's European digital charts, Euro Digital Songs and Euro Digital Tracks. Of course Italian also.

 

2. Ringtones - original full names: Top Digital AFP Ring Tones or simple Top 30 Ring Tones. This chart is also compiling by Nielsen but for AFP since last year and has base on sales of true tones on following mobile operators: Arena Mobile, Movilisto, Musiwave, Optimus, TIM, TMN and Vodafone.

 

3. Airplay - the chart is compiling by Nielsen and has base on monitoring of following radio stations: 94FM, Best 96.6, Capital, Cidade, Comercial, Festival, Mega FM, Nova, Nova ERA, Orbital, Radar, Radio Clube de Matosinhos, RDP Antena 1, RDP Antena 3, Renascence, RFM and TSF.
