May 9, 200817 yr Yan's German Chart Comments (issue date 09.05.08) Still no changes at the top of the German charts as Madonna, Duffy and Ich+Ich occupy the three leading spots for a third consecutive week. Nevertheless Madonna makes it a double victory with her album not surprisingly crowning also the LP chart. In an overall quiet singles chart, the highest new entry shots diretly at #5. Estelle has been massive in the UK but I've never expected her to be so strong in Germany. To prove me wrong, she becomes the next big UK female name in 2008 to have a worldwide success. Furthermore she backs my theory that the year so far has been the year of the female power as long as the German charts are concerned. I should also mention the entry of the Norway's band Madcon and their "Beggin'" in the top 10 after several weeks spent in the top 20. However, I'm more glad to see that Die Aerzte and their marvellous "Lasse redn" manage to divert the downward trend and to go back in the top 10 despite my projections for the quick disappearing of the track. #12 Sugababes - "Denial" - Despite the failiure of "Change", the former single of the Babes' new album, to enter the top 30, the third single from the record succeeds in making a deeper impact in the top 100. As it is, according to me, the better song, I'm happy to see that Germans did not ignore it. "About you now", the first single taken from the album, peaked at #4 last year. #21 Alex C - "Du bist so Porno" - Alex Christensen continues his erotic hit series. However, this time not with the same success as "Du has den schoensten Arsch der Welt" (peak #1) and "Doktorspiele" (peak #4). Since "Porno" is the third single from his "Euphorie" album, the 21st place cannot be at all considered a flop and having in mind that is more or less the same song (with different lyrics only) as the previous two hits, I may say that the top 30 entry is quite a feat. #42 In Extremo - "Frei zu sein" - So far the German folk band has failed in their attempts at making a considerable hit and the new single adds nothing to change the situation. Their biggest singles are "Küss mich" and "Nur ihr allein" both reaching #35. "Frei zu sein" is the debut single from their latest album "Sängerkrieg" #69 Kool Savas - "Melodie" is the second single from Savas' "Tot oder lebendig" album and actually ranks only two places below the peak of the debut song from the record. The German rapper of Turkish descent has not managed so far to score a huge hit on his own as his duet with Azad "All 4 One" is his only top 10 hit. So this is for the current week. She had several other singles in Germany and she reached also the Billboard Dance Charts as far as I know.

I think it was Starsplash - Fly Away. That music channel was a "pop" channel but it played loads of trance and dance from Europe but has been extinct since about 2003 :( MTV Portugal sucks

May 14, 200817 yr although I don't know how old are you It's written in my profile ;) As music channels are concerned, I'm glad that we have the chance to watch a lot of them here in Bulgaria, from the awful local MTV to VH1 and several Bulgarian channels, but I still most enjoy Viva Germany (cheers to my cable operator) and the original UK MTV Hits (which we have for several months now).
