Posted May 10, 200817 yr Birmingham v Blackburn Chelsea v Bolton Derby v Reading Everton v Newcastle Middlesbrough v Man City Portsmouth v Fulham Sunderland v Arsenal Tottenham v Liverpool West Ham v Aston Villa Wigan v Man Utd So, tomorrow the title shall be decided, the final UEFA Cup spot, and the final two relegation spots. I reckon Man Utd will win the title, Everton will get the final European spot, and Birmingham and Reading will go down, but they'll be a few twists and turns along the way obviously.
May 10, 200817 yr Come on Chelsea! Win me a fiver and make it so we don't have the 'most stupid' fans in the country!
May 11, 200817 yr and as long as Man City don't have cards galore, they'll qualify for the UEFA Cup too :cheer: through the Fair Play draw. my predictions Birmingham 2-1 Blackburn Chelsea 1-0 Bolton Derby 1-3 Reading Everton 1-1 Newcastle Middlesbrough 1-1 Man City Portsmouth 0-2 Fulham Sunderland 1-4 Arsenal Tottenham 1-0 Liverpool West Ham 1-2 Aston Villa Wigan 1-4 Man Utd EDIT: just looked at the disciplinary table, and if City get 2 yellows, and Newcastle avoid a card, then Newcastle qualify for Europe :o current disciplinary table Pos Team Games Yellows Reds Pts 1 Liverpool 37 45 1 48 2 Everton 37 40 3 49 3 Tottenham 37 51 1 54 4 Man Utd 37 49 2 55 5 Manchester City 37 50 3 59 6 Newcastle 37 57 1 60 7 Arsenal 37 53 3 62 8 Aston Villa 37 53 4 65 9 Derby County 37 62 1 65 10 Portsmouth 37 58 3 67 1 pt for a yellow, 3 for a red
May 11, 200817 yr That's not it, it's the 'Fair Play' table that it's counted on, which also takes into account things other than just disciplinary. You can see it after 36 games here: http://www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlay...,,12306,00.html
May 11, 200817 yr oh well (quite similar :P), Fulham are close on there to qualifying though :o
May 11, 200817 yr Derby 0 Reading 1 (Harper) :cheer: West Ham 1 (Solano) Aston Villa 0 All other games 0-0. John Terry off injured after being kneed in the face by his keeper!
May 11, 200817 yr West Ham 1-1 Aston Vila Derby 0-1 Reading Bottom of the table as it stands 17. Reading 36 18. Fulham 33 19. Birmingham 32 20. Derby 11 GOAL Middlesbrough 1-0 Man City Boro get a penalty, Man City get a red card!! Fulham could now be going into the Uefa Cup via the fair play league, which as it stands could mean 2 championship sides in the Uefa cup next season.... (if Cardif win the FA Cup)
May 11, 200817 yr Author Man Utd penalty... Ironic thing is Wigan should have had one at the other end.
May 11, 200817 yr Birminham 1-0 Blackburn Bottom as it stands 17. Reading 36 18. Birmingham 35 19. Fulham 33 20. Derby 11 Man United now get a penalty after Wigan had one for a hand ball turned down Wigan 0-1 Man United Top As It Stands 1. Man United 87 2. Chelsea 85
May 11, 200817 yr Author The Man Utd game is becoming the Steve Bennet show. :manson: Awful referee. Scholes should have got a 2nd yellow, I think everyone could have seen that bar the ref.
May 11, 200817 yr Congratulations to Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson for buying the Referees and a Championship yet again. :thumb:
May 11, 200817 yr Theo Walcott finaly does something in the premier league Sunderland 0-1 Arsenal :( He's been playing well for a while now actually, he just lacks some end product.
May 11, 200817 yr Scholes should have got a 2nd yellow, I think everyone could have seen that bar the ref. Tbh though i think 2nd yellows are always dodgy. Example, when Chelsea played United, Ballack got booked for taking off his shirt, yet when he jumped into a crowd (disagree or agree with the rule, it's a booking) was not given a second yellow. Scholes was pretty much the same, his tackle wasnt really worthy of a yellow card.
May 11, 200817 yr They said on the radio that John Terry may have broken his arm! It didn't look that bad from the clips I've seen, looked more like a dislocation. Edited May 11, 200817 yr by Alias
May 11, 200817 yr Steve Bennet has been Man Utd's best player so far, brilliant assist. I agree, he was Man Utd best player when Liverpool lost 3-0 at Old Trafford a few months ago as well, I hope he gets a Premiership winners medal (because his contribution towards Man Utd has been significant) when Alex Ferguson & co pick up the trophy in 40 minutes time. :arrr:
