The organizing committee has just announced the semifinalists of the first 'Sangfest' which will be held around the end of May. 10 acts are in the semifinal...five will be eliminated during the qualification stage and the remaining five songs will compete for the ticket to Quotosibb to represent Sangria at the 7th BuzzJack Songcontest.

Untouched celebrate top five finish

 

FSR Rontvia's duo Untouched are amazed and stunned at the top five finish of the track which they wrote themselves, Smack Me. The singer Fiona said 'its a dream come true to finish in the top five with established artists Jem, Evanescence, Lily Allen and Beverley Knight. People truly voted for the music instead of the hype this time around and we are very pleased for Beverley, she gave an incredible performance'. When asked if they would be returning for BJSC6, Fiona commented 'no, we are happy with our top five finish and our career can only get better now, we don't want to taint it by sending a weaker song next time around'. FSR Rontvia has done well with internal selections and has finished inside the top ten four contests out of six now, making it one of the three most successful countries in BJSC history. Rontvia will announce their internally selected entry at a later date.

Kopeček committee announce revamp of BJSC selection!

 

After an unexpected 9th place finish in Feethoo, the Kopeček selection committee have announced a grand 24-song contest which will begin within the next week and involve a mixture of public and jury voting in order to finally find a winner for Kopečka after 6 contests with two top three places but no wins as of yet. "We're determined to finally take the crown in Siobah next month, and we can think of no better way to do so than by whittling down the finest artists at our disposal to find the best song for Siobah." said a spokesperson for IBK. When asked as to whether the leaked considerations were to be involved in the named Kopečekfestivalen, the spokesperson confirmed the involvement of all of them, "...but the arrangement of the contest is such that not all of them will make it to the public stage. The contest has 24 songs but these will be internally selected so that only 16 go through to the quarter-finals, with 4 songs in 4 groups. The public and representatives from other countries will vote for their 3 favourites, with the losers from each group being knocked out and the winners going through to a semi-final of 2 groups with 6 songs. The 3 favourite songs will be voted upon from each group, with the winners going on to a star-studded 6 song final heat the week before the contest! Natasha Bedingfield had a chance to represent the BJSC5 winner - Eledan. She agreed upon her participation from Eledan today afternoon.The song is to be confirmed later in the next weeks but rumors say that it is gonna be either Soulmate or These Words or, most likely, Unwritten.

He can't choose Natasha anymore as Pavel's confirmed that he will be using her...usually the protocol is to wait until the artist isn't chosen for someone else's NF if they've chosen it first, although there have been 'wars' over this sort of thing recently :heehee:

Actually, it did VERY well in the semi-finals - Ben and I were thinking it could challenge for victory before the surprising flop in the final :o It did a Questa Notte :heehee:

As many other countries that already are thinking for their next competition and choosing performers,Botanikka did the same.

So far we did send an artist chosen by jury,this time is going to be different...we're gonna present 3 artists and public will decide which one is the best...we're looking for another top 10 finish.
