May 18, 200817 yr Responsibility lies with the parents, why is the age group that seemingly needs to be protected from foul language not in bed when the Jonathan Ross show is on ? it is up to parents to ensure that what their kids are watching and what their kids are browsing on the PC are appropriate, Jonathan Ross is known for vulgarity and adult humour, parents should not be letting their kids watch him any more than they should take their kids to go see Jim Davidson or Roy Chubby Brown do stand up, put the kids in bed and let adults watch adult programmes like Ross free from politically correct lobby sticking their beaks in

I actually agree 100% with this post from Craig..... :o :o :o I don't even LIKE Wossy that much tbh, but I absolutely will defend him against this sort of ridiculous assault from the "moral crusader brigade".....
May 24, 200817 yr Swearing on TV is a f*****g disgrace! I'm offended everytime I watch the c***s! The filthy b******s make me sick! The p****s should be able to write f*****g dialogue without swearing - the dirty minded d***heads!!!!!
May 24, 200817 yr Yes, it HAS gone too far :o Even in my relatively short life I've seen standards fall. My dad used to make us switch the TV off strictly at 9pm so is your dad like mine and always going on about language on tv - i know cant hardly watch any of my dvds in the lounge when my dad is here as he will complain about the language (my room i guess is more of a mess than down town Mogadishu  - so cant watch them there) - and some thing like Fur TV (which is normally on just after he goes to bed) will have to keep turning the volume up and down depending on the lanaguge and the loudness of the compressed advert sounds (he alwsy turns off the adverts onto Mute as he thinks they are too loud) When I was finally allowed to watch past the watershed I really noticed the difference! Now, when you switch the TV on at 7pm sometimes you see some of this stuff 2 hours earlier... so obviously something's gone wrong somewhere. I always pick out bad language on TV before the watershed (or even at all) because of the way I was brought up I guess, and it's ridiculous how common it is now. Just watching that Angus Deayton programme - you can see the shift in language (ok dont know which are pre-watershed and whats not) - even though there doesnt seem to much shift in actual comedy styles when it comes to surreal things - newer shows would use more explicit language where innuendo would have been used in the 70s or 80s (tho obv there was Kenneth Tynan on BBC3, Derek and Clive etc etc) Swearing on TV is a f*****g disgrace! and on the other hand maybe you should be employed by Angus Deayton to write his links
