Of course it's contrived, but cheap? Hardly. RTÉ spend a lot of money on this contest. It may be tacky, different, annoying - but it certainly isn't cheap.

 

People either love it, or they hate it. I'm hating it right now, but come May 20th I'll probably love it again. ^_^

very good performance by Maria but the backing vocals are a tad overpowering, hopefully they'll tone them down a bit
