Posted May 14, 200817 yr He's had zero promo, and it's one of the most uncommercial songs we've sent in years. Last year, Scooch reached the top five and were the first British act to do so since 1997 when Katrina & the Waves were victorious for the Brits. Since then it's been pretty mixed, with Javine, James Fox, Imaani and Jemini all making the top 20, Daz Sampson going top ten, Precious managing #6 in 1999 and Nicki French and Lindsay Dracass reaching the lower end of the top 40. You have to go back to 1996 for the last #1, with Gina G's 'Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit' reaching the top, despite only making seventh position in Oslo. So how about the old bin man? I'm gonna stick my neck out and say #16-20, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if it's lower. One thing's for sure though, if Ireland qualify for the final on May 24th, Dustin the Turkey will certainly be gracing the UK charts, just as Ukraine's 2007 entry did last year.
May 14, 200817 yr in with a bullet at number 38 - then out next week. Our worst Eurovision entry ever behind the Gary Glitter-alike guy with all the schoolgirls a few years back (NOTHING can be worse than that)
May 14, 200817 yr He's had zero promo :drama: lies, he performed it on Loose Women today. I think it may miss the top 40. It's not exactly the sort of song that's in the charts at the moment.
May 15, 200817 yr top 30 around number 27 roll on the turkey i want a top 40 hit at the least for the irish entry
May 15, 200817 yr I'll say #13...will be bigger than his debut single Hang Up, whatever happens...I'm disappointed that the Eurovision compilation isn't on iTunes yet and if they don't put it on soon, we won't get any other Eurovision songs in the chart :( last year was great! after the contest there were about ten ESC songs in the top 200
May 15, 200817 yr That's a shame the album isn't on iTunes yet. I was wondering why Andy hadn't charted yet. I'm predicting #16-#20. It's likely to debut lower and then climb to its peak in the week after the contest.
May 15, 200817 yr awful song, even for eurovision :P . How did it even get through. I just don't get the british public  . Then they wonder why we never win (although the fact the whole show is a complete farse is probabbly more to do with it. :P ) I vote about #35. (That Michelle Gayle 'Woo Woo' song was much better :D ) Aww i love eurovision :w00t:
May 15, 200817 yr I think it will only manage to sneak into the top 30, but its not a very good song, we need another ballad like Jessica Garlick, or a Timbaland style track cos we keep sending out really weak songs to eorvision then wonder why we never make it past 18th place I mean, look at our history: 2006: Tit in an attempt to sing/rap 2007: A bunch of camp morons with a song containing more innuendo than an episode of ''Are You Being Served' 2008: A binman, sorry ex-binman  Edited May 15, 200817 yr by 1Dave2006
May 15, 200817 yr Top 30 but not much higher I don't think. I've actually liked our last few entries but I really don't like this song.
May 15, 200817 yr I think it will scrape the top 40. Which is quite generous, considering how $h!t the song (and he) is.
May 15, 200817 yr 31 - 40 is what i think, it will be a disaster at Eurovision and a disaster in the charts
May 15, 200817 yr I'm pondering whether or not to get this on single next week...I always buy the UK entries on CD but this song really is bland
