Ros sorry to hear about your laptop, :( sometimes when ive had a problem with pc or laptop ive gone and posted on digital spy in the pc threads, they are great on there and fall over backwards to help, give it a go, at least someone might come up with a solution at the very least so you can back your stuff up. :friends: Just been speaking to my other half, he suggested backing up on flash memory or portable hard drive dont really know what problems youre having but maybe thats an option, also he said there is a way to transfer your favourites by using email, youd have to ask on digital spy as i dont know how to do it, you export your favourites and then import them on another system. if you can still email, although it will be a long process you could send your stuff to maybe a web based email account and then drag it all back in. hope that helps a little, id be devastated if i was in your situation :( Edited August 20, 201113 yr by phil3579
August 20, 201113 yr Many thanks for your advice Phil, I will look into all of your suggestions. When I posted earlier I was all set to wipe the whole drive with a recovery disk, but it wouldn't even do that! Said there was an error and something or other was missing, then I got a blank screen. I switched it off thinking that was it, I'd ruined it, but when I put it back on it offered the start up repair thingie, then said it couldn't repair it. But when I switched on again it started properly and now I daren't switch it off!! I've been doing some printing off, forwarding on emails etc and getting rid of things. We have to go out so it's going onto standby for now. :lol:

I hadn't been hooked from the amazon clip but it was gorgeous.

My husband used to suffer terribly till he had a couple of operations so I have an idea how unpleasant it can be.
