I didn't get chance to post this yesterday but it really rankled and I still feel the same this morning.

In the Bizarre column in the Sun there was an item that said how James Morrison had a belter of a year last year, his album The Awakening had now gone platinum with over 300,000 sales and was "selling like hotcakes", and how he had now been nominated for a Brit. Then there was a quote from him saying how he never took anything for granted.

Talk about stretching it.

Even if Will had been nominated for a Brit, the arse that is Gordon Smart would have found a way of excluding him from any of his write ups. Will just doesn't exist for him, he's never once mentioned his album, his single or his tour. I think Will's publicity feed most of their little tit bits to the Star .

BTW, anyone seen Sweetwillianfan around? Miss her posting the bits of info that she finds for us.

I was wondering where SWF was too.

Yes, I agree he's an absolute arse, we buy the Sun and I don't even know why I bother looking at those pages the twaddle that's on it. The Star is always most likely to run a Will story, can't be a coincidence.

I think the likes of Gordon Smart probably feel threatened by Will's intelligence. I gather he's also a Simon Cowell a*** licker, though according to her fans he gives little support to Leona. I'm surprised he isn't bemoaning Olly's exclusion from the Best Male list.

Been wondering where Bev is too.The others haven't posted in ages either, though I noticed Shelly reading the other day. Come back you are missed. :(

Does anybody actually care what the likes of Gordon Smart have to say? he's like the Jeremy Kyle of journalism, pea brained and full of self -importance and I can only think it's a godsend not to be mentioned by him. :D

True- I just get annoyed at the rubbish featured on the 2 pages each day, particularly when certain people feature so often suggy.

The Voice judge Tom Jones: I want to be a judge on The X Factor

Singing legend Tom Jones has declared his desire to be an X Factor judge - despite already being confirmed as a judge on its BBC rival The Voice.

Tom Jones will join three other celebrity experts as coaches on The Voice

Jones, who will join songstress  Jessie J, Black Eyed Peas star Will.I.Am and The Script's Danny O'Donoghue as a coach on The Voice, has been in the music industry for forty years and is expected to be regarded as the panel's veteran when The Voice launches in the spring.

But the 71-year-old has revealed that he wants to be a judge on ITV juggernaut  The X Factor, which is The Voice's main rival.

Jones is quoted by the Daily Star as saying: 'I would like to be a judge on The X Factor for sure,' although it is unclear whether he meant to say he would prefer to be on The X Factor, or whether he would like to be a judge on both shows simultaneously.

The Welsh singer went on to give his blessing to TV talent shows, which belong to a format that is often derided by those in the music industry.

He said: 'These talent shows are a good thing, but only as long as the kids are treated properly. They go straight in at the deep end and are not ready for it. That's my only fear.'

The format of The Voice sees the 'coaches' judge and guide the show's contestants without being able to see them, meaning the hopefuls are judged on talent alone.

On The X Factor, appearance, charisma and ability to dance often play a big part in whether contestants succeed in the competition.

Tom's fellow judge Jessie has previously said that she 'couldn't' be a judge on The X Factor as she thinks the show is too cutthroat.

She said: 'I couldn't be a judge in the X Factor. I'd rather mentor than judge people - I couldn't do it.

'I'm so excited to do The Voice - I always go with things that represent me and I love the idea of being a coach, mentor, inspiration to young people. So apply and be in Team Jessie, people!'

Glad to see he is so committed to the show ...it looks like he is only in it for the exposure or why would he want the xfactor.

Bet that's the same for them all. Wonder if any of them mentor and run workshops like Will does.

When I was reading that Andrew Lloyd Webber was switching to ITV to search for a Jesus for Jesus Christ Superstar it struck me Will could be on the panel for that instead! :D You never know, half of it seems to be putting out feelers! :P

I think Will's got more chance of being asked to judge on XFactor and it would never suprise me if he did get asked. A lot of people were disappointed that Will didn't get the Voice and if that worked to the XFactor producers advantage, they'd use it, likewise the mutual dislike between Will & Cowell would be seen as an added bonus. If Gary or Louis were to go, I honestly think Will could be in the frame. Don't think he'd do it though, but you never know.

Since Will seemed to be hoping XF was on the way out when he was on that Jo Whiley programme I'd be gobsmacked!

I think he hoped Simon Cowell would be on the way out, not the show itself, he's always seemed to like it , and he's certainly taken the opportunity to be on it in the past, mentor, judges house and performing. :D

I know i am desperate now :drama:

I think we're going to have to get used to being bored this year. Apart from the Come On promotion, whatever that may be, and the Forest gigs, if your'e lucky enough to be going, there's nothing else on the horizon . :(

I wish something exciting would happen for him soon to make up for losing the Voice.

Poor bloke :whip:

We should get something next month if he's working on the next video.

But he said he was going to have a busy 2012 and that was after the Voice fiasco Marguerite. And two more singles. And I expect more stuff than just the forest gigs, it would be very unusual for him to do so few live shows. It's next year I expect to be quiet!

I'm expecting more than just the forest gigs too and is why I've held off booking any more.

Why all the glumness? we're only 24 days into the new year, get a grip. :drink: :P
