Not a rant as such, but our family has just had a very worrying 24 hours, my niece was taken to hospital in the early hours yesterday morning with suspected miningitus, the first lumbar puncture they did was inconclusive and so they did another one in the afternoon, luckily everything seems to be ok, but they're still trying to find out now why she's got the rash and the bruising all over, she was off work the week before with flu and a sore throat, but went back on duty (she's a policewoman) on sunday and then became ill again at work. :( She's due to get married on the 15th of december, so I hope she's recovered and well enough by then. I spent all day looking after family members kids, (schools were all shut because of the snow) and trying to stay calm waiting for news, horrible day really. :cry:

What a worrying time for you all suggy. :friends: I do hope your niece is on the mend, and they find out what is wrong. In the meantime I'm putting up a pic or two (well trying to :rolleyes: :lol: ) in the POG thread which might help to cheer you.

Thanks for your concerns girls, she's in the clear for the meningitus scare, but she's had a bad viral infection and is on strong antibiotics and something else as a precaution, she should be allowed to come home by the weekend. :D

I have just read the download thread on D ...a NEW poster who joined at the end of oct as just made a post.... i thought it sounded familar and i wondered if a certain someone had started a new account [they were banned in october] i have been watching to see when they would post again under a different name...last time when she had numerous identities on some of them she would post for a while saying nothing negative ...so that when she did and people protested others would jump to the newcomers defense saying they had a right to their opinion...she never varies her tactics :rolleyes:

Someone else is posting on DS and said that Will had forgotten his words in Daniel. So I found a link to the lyrics and posted that and the actual words for her to see that he was quite right when he was singing.

You're not alone Toni. I've got to the point where I just can't be doing with the the so-called Brits.

They sometimes announce people quite late on so don't give up yet.

 

I never watch The Brits. I have always disliked the sycophantic claptrap and now I hate it and wish it would go away.

If James wins this it will be because he is preferred for himself not for his latest track record. Will has outsold him album-wise and received the best critic reviews. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether James has released outside the UK - but album sales globally are deplorable so I can't see he has drastically outsold Will - if at all. They can't say Will doesn't write his own stuff and the boys have both written with Eg - there is absolutely nothing, other than my first comment, that would give the award to James and not Will.

 

The comment was by Neil Sean TT - ignore it. I should think Will was disappointed but I reckon the other comment, if made at all, was a tongue-in-cheek comment - he's just had a great summer and sold-out tour.
