January 21, 200916 yr Author If James wins this it will be because he is preferred for himself not for his latest track record. Will has outsold him album-wise and received the best critic reviews. The only thing I'm not sure of is whether James has released outside the UK - but album sales globally are deplorable so I can't see he has drastically outsold Will - if at all. They can't say Will doesn't write his own stuff and the boys have both written with Eg - there is absolutely nothing, other than my first comment, that would give the award to James and not Will. The comment was by Neil Sean TT - ignore it. I should think Will was disappointed but I reckon the other comment, if made at all, was a tongue-in-cheek comment - he's just had a great summer and sold-out tour. JM has released outside the UK munchkin but his total worldwide sales are still below Will's at the moment, despite the fact Will's only other market is Ireland. When the choices were made Will's sales were a lot more than JM's & his new single hadn't been released so if he wins it's definitely just because his face fits.

January 21, 200916 yr Author JM's world sales will probably pass Will's this week or next, though not in the UK but that has nothing to do with when the Brits were decided. :) As you say sales abroad are very low? Wonder how much profit has been made after all the marketing costs are deducted. http://www.worldwidealbums.net/artist.htm
January 22, 200916 yr Hi, could someone tell me what the odds are for Will to win the best male award, and also the other nominee's odds? I can't go to that link posted by TT, due to restrictions. Thanks.

I can't go to that link posted by TT, due to restrictions. Thanks. A couple of bookmaker odds posted by Jacqui on Devoted. Ladbrokes... James Morrison 6/5 Will Young 9/4 Paul Weller3/1 The Streets 9/1 Ian Brown 12/1 Paddy Power James Morrison 'evens' Will Young 2/1 Paul Weller 9/2 The Streets 10/1 Ian Brown 10/1
January 22, 200916 yr Thanks, TT. So I guess it's not worth putting a tenner on Will to win. ;) Not that I have ever gambled! Might have been tempted this time. At least he's second, and the bookies aren't always right. It might still be Paul Weller or Ian Brown who get it. ;) If The Streets get it again, I will be very cross. :banghead: :lame:

February 4, 200916 yr I wore my wellies to go to the corner shop today as it's pretty deep on our side streets, it took me nearly 10mins to get the bloomin things off my feet when I got back. It's all crichy and icy now as it's freezing, I hope we don't get any more as they stop the buses for hours as we live high up and the buses slide a lot on ungritted side roads, they took them off last night at 8pm and I was just in time to catch it, or else I'd have had to walk the 3 miles home from town. :(

We ad very little snow on Monday, which was washed away very quickly in the evening. My daughter's boyfriend had a bit of a nightmare though. He was flying back from visiting her in Spain on Monday. His flight was delayed then forced to come down in Manchester. He then had to sit on the plane for 2 hours while his brother was sitting waiting to pick him up in Liverpool. Eventually got home in the early hours of Tuesday morning after a treacherous journey on the motorway.

February 25, 200916 yr I see that Mad Ana has invaded the Dancing on Ice thread on DS! What a strange person!
February 25, 200916 yr Author I see that Mad Ana has invaded the Dancing on Ice thread on DS! What a strange person! Just surprised it's taken this long. She seems to eat, sleep & drink Will. I think she'll be more upset than us when this round of promo ends or maybe she'll find some time to devote to her BORING favourite. :P
