I think the gremlins have taken up residence on Devoted lately Pearl, I seem to be having trouble with it on a daily basis recently.

Looks like it's post has been removed. Would have thought it would have been off brushing up on her Xmas ditties. It's lhilarious that she insinuates Will is unoriginal. :lol:

Thread has now been changed by Admin from an Appreciaton thread to Will Young Part 2. :)

So surely NOW it's banned? their obviously as sick of her as we all are.. ^_^

I've just been to see what it's been up to again. Perhaps a permanent ban is called for - it's getting more and more nasty in it's posts and done just to inflame. It doesn't even disguise it's nastiness in with a proper post any more. Perhaps admin turned it into an appreciation thread because that way there's justification for banning it. With an open thread anyone can say pretty much anything they like and it needs someone to complain before they do anything.

 

It's really up to the WY members to decide but I'd be inclined to close it off because it really makes for very unpleasant reading and I very rarely go into the WY thread anymore. :(

 

PS Now someone else is trying stir up things - think I'll just not bother to go into there again. Most of what is chatted about is taken from here and Devoted anyway. Such a sad thing to see.

Have to say that i really don't like those appreciation threads though. <_<

As I say I'm just a browser on DS I've never bothered to become a member and only really go on there to catch up with the general news and gossip. I just find the spitefulness very distasteful and unpleasant to see on the forum as a whole. It's filled with 'hate' threads so I'm not surprised it's also full of appreciation threads too. They may not be to everyone's taste but they do serve a purpose.

 

But... as I said I don't find anything in the WY thread that I haven't already read on Devoted anyway.

That persistent loony troll is just a sad and nasty attention seeker and it's about time it got banned in my opinion. So the old thread is now closed I see, it was getting a bit long anyway and it started off with news of Will's 3rd album Keep On, we're now looking forward to album number 6 after the Hits. Can't wait to hear the song in full. :dance:

Absolutely. Pearl, as a member, can use the 'ignore' facility but casual visitors like myself do see it's nasty comments and it's not pleasant.

 

As I said it used to cloak it's nasty comments with a proper post but now just goes straight for the jugular and for that reason alone should be banned permanently. It may not be an 'appreciation' thread but people who post on there still shouldn't have to put up with trolls on a mission.

Devoted seems to be down again. I've been offline most of the afternoon and thought I'd come back to see what, if anything, has happened - it usually does when I'm not around :lol:

 

Yeah, I've been out this afternoon and logged on to catch up with any news and it's down again.

 

It's been a very slow day today so I don't think we're missing much.

 

It should all kick off soon though, once we hear the new song in full and see the video. :dance: :yahoo:
