have they done any original tracks? or are they all re-vamps/covers/samples of 70's tracks?

 

not being a scooter fan but noticing this common theme running through most of their singles. the latest 'jumping all over the world' is a re-working of sailors 1976 hit 'glass of champagne'.

well these are the credits for one of the scooter albums i own: all tracks writen by HP Baxxter, Rick J Jordan, Jay Frog and J Thele except 2 by HP Baxxter, Rick J Jordan, Jay Frog and J Thele, marc acardipane ans shawn mierez. 3 HP Baxxter, Rick J Jordan, Jay Frog and J Thele and G. Koertz, track 5 - Vangelis, track 8 HP Baxxter, Rick J Jordan, Jay Frog and J Thele and chris hulsbeck, track 10 by HP Baxxter, Rick J Jordan, Jay Frog and J Thele, Shane Henghan and Eamon Downes.

and obv faster harder scooter is a rip off of comedy technorockster/indie-dancers the Shamen but Stripped is a faithful reading of Depeche Mode

i wonder whos credited with composing 'jumping all over the world'....

 

i suspect that where they are not straight covering a track (logical song for eg) they are sampling the melody and adding new words (as in jumping all over the world), would that entitle them to claiming they 'wrote' it?...
