In the last few years there have been huge grossing tours by acts like The Rolling Stones, Eagles, Who, Aerosmith and The police.

The one thing they have in common is they are all over 50, some even over 60. :D

Only U2 compete, and they are pretty close as well to 50.

Why don't the younger acts make huge amounts on tour. It can't all be down to ticket prices, the huge number of fans that turn up at each venue must be saying something.

The older acts generally have the best back catalogues which they recorded in their younger days at a much faster rate than current acts manage.
Fuck 50, Steven Tyler is 60 and he can still pull of a better show then most bands could do today.
