May 19, 200817 yr I'm obviously a big Beatles fan...... ........ but I have to say during their heyday in the 1970s: plAVpf1Q8nI Led Zeppelin - Stairway To Heaven (live 1975) ..... circa 1972/3 in his Ziggy persona... HqJoIwuayiM David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust (1973 live) or from her only tour in 1979...... 9SSLXD3hhGY Kate Bush - Them Heavy People (1979 live at Hammersmith Odean)
May 19, 200817 yr Well Kate would top the list for me. The Beatles and Zep would also be there. Would have died to see the Smiths. I always wanted to see Hanoi Rocks as well before Razzle died in that car crash. Edited May 19, 200817 yr by grebo69
May 19, 200817 yr I'd want to go back to the summer of '78 and see ELO on the Out of the Blue tour at Wembley. I was there but I want to re-live it. I'd like to be front row this time instead of eighth row. Otherwise ... its just got to be the Beatles - but without all that girlie screeching going on! Norma

May 19, 200817 yr ^ jKC-weHQCUQ ELO - Do Ya (Out Of The Blue tour 1978) Do you know? That is probably my second favourite track from the New World Record album - closely following Above The Clouds! That whole concert was brilliant - made up for the car breaking down in Neasdon on the way back (luckily our driver was in the AA) but we still didn't get back to our beds till 7.30 the next morning! Well worth it! For the record - the tickets were £8.25 - how much would that be today? Back to New World Record - I actually think that was a better album than OOTB - there are still a few tracks on OOTB that I have to skip - but I can listen to NWR from start to finish without skipping a thing! Norma Got to agree with you there :) I would love to have seen Bowie circa '73 I did get to see him in 1978, but I was near the back :( _jn9hSndIXA
May 19, 200817 yr I would have loved to see Queen, anytime, but especially in 1986 at Wembley or maybe Knebworth, which turned out to be the last gig Queen did with Freddie as lead singer. Of course, being an Elvis fan, I would have loved to see him perform any time, but it would have been fantastic to see him in '55/'56 as he was making his name or in 1969 for his return to Vegas
May 19, 200817 yr I'm a huge Weller fan and I've seen him many times, but I would have loved to have seen the Jam
May 20, 200817 yr Well, If I don't say Carpenters then the world would come to an end and I'd be the worst liar in the world  So, yeah! I would have loved to see Karen and Richard play live, also abba and probaly Jim Croce, his songs are amazing love him

May 20, 200817 yr Well if i could go back in time, i would love to go and see Elvis, especially the "68 Comback Special", i would have queued for ages to have seen that. :yahoo:

(no I am not ashamed to admit it!)
May 20, 200817 yr Kate Bush The Smiths (saw them once, when Moz got pulled off stage and beaten up in Newport, Queen is Dead tour... 6 songs into a STORMING set) The Beatles early Bowie and...Yazoo...but they're playing again soon anyway :yahoo:
May 20, 200817 yr I went to Queen at Wembley in 86 and it was brilliant. (no I am not ashamed to admit it!) You lucky thing! I have it on DVD and Freddie and the band were on top form and no, you shouldn't be ashamed to admit it, Queen were a great band. I've seen Brian and Roger solo and with Paul Rodgers, but nothing could compare to Queen with Freddie and especially in '86, they were a great live band.
May 22, 200817 yr Led Zeppelin at Madison Square Garden ("The Song Remains The Same" shows, absolutely fukkin' AWESOME performances, the greatest ANY BAND has ever been IMO. No one played bigger shows, not even The Beatles...) Barratt-era Pink Floyd - the 14-hour gig especially..... Joy Division Sex Pistols The Clash The legendary Bob Marley and the Wailers gig in Hammersmith which precipitated the rise of Punk Rock Ziggy-era Bowie Velvet Underground The Stone Roses at Spike Island Jimi Hendrix at Woodstock

Norma 2 weeks ago I saw Kelly Groucutt jamming with a band called Vivo at Old Sills Rugby Club near Solihull. He sung Stand By Me & was absolutely brilliant. He said he would be back next month .
