For a minute I was confusing Slovenia and Estonia and I was wondering why people were sad.

 

I'd have rather seen Andorra, Belgium and Slovenia make it over Azerbaijan, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Finland.

Shame about "Irlande Nil Points", but at least it means the UK is not represented by Roland Rat Superstar in 2009 "Yeeaaaahhhhhhh Rat fannsss!" :rofl:

Are you sure you aren't just being blinded by it being the song that represented your country? :lol: Even if I was from Ireland I think I'd be able to see that there was loads of songs better than the Irish entry.

Best for me was the Norwegian song and it went through :)

Worst was the Irish song. It didn't deserve to go through so I'm ok with the results.

Oh dear :( , I actually thought we'd get through....usually I'd feel sad but oh well this just means we can come back next year with a vengence!

 

It's a pity Belgium and Andorra didn't get through. Or slovenia that was a shocker :(

 

I remember me and my mum watching Finland and she said she quite liked it and I was like o.O

 

Edit: I think the Irish should learn a valuable lesson from this.....not to get over-confident. I just hope that next year we can send something exciting that's not completly off the wall.

I am American so I don't really care who wins...but how did Slovenia not get through...:(

Hmm, that was quite predictable, all big favourites did pass (Greece, Armenia, Russia) and TBH I am glad Finland qualified because the performance really stood out (in a good way) among the participants. Also glad to see Norway and Azerbaijan to qualify, too bad Andorra didn't. And I actually did like the Dustin the turkey so too bad for Ireland also. Too bad (thou not unsurprising) that c**p from Bosnia, Poland (and in some extent Romania) did qualify.

 

For the final, it was surprising that both Russia and Armenia had very mediocre, if not poor performances. Yes, they will do fine in the final, especially Russia, thanks to diaspora and neighbourly voting but if they cannot give better performances I think the winner will come from the second semifinal. And quite interesting to see how Finland will do since more "regular viewers" will be watching the final and voting Saturday and it was able to pass this more "ESC-fan" semifinal...could be the big surprise of the night...

I know and she put in a much better performance then even on the video. :o Eurovision can be so cruel sometimes. :cry:

Hello all, first post on here, buzzin Eurovision forum..woot :)

 

I am UTTERLY shocked that Slovenia & Andorra did not get through :cry:

 

Such brilliant Eurodance songs....pure cheese with no preservatives and no additives. How could they NOT make the final???????

 

They may not have made it but their songs will live on with the Euro fans.

Ahhh that was a good show! Romania, Russia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Greece - all very predictable, but I'm in complete shock about Finland. :o Wasn't expecting that at all! Glad for Israel too, that was a good song, as was Norway. It was looking doubtful towards the end there for Maria! Interesting that Poland got through too, wasn't expecting that. Shame for Belgium and the Netherlands, and Andorra, who were one of my faves. :( As for Ireland though... well you should've sent Leona Daly shouldn't you? -_-

i think eurovison will be in scandanavia next year i think sweden cud win and norway cud do very well,its so hard to call anymre as the voting is so so unpredictable
