The commentators get on my nerves sometimes. I've just had to endure Andy Gray doing "WONDERFUL HEADER", well yes it was a v.good header, but that was because he had no pressure on him from Essien...he just stood there. Chelsea look to be flapping a bit though, if Man Utd get a 2nd goal it'll kill the game off i'd have thought.

Just goes to show you need luck to win football names, nevermind how good your team is!

Got to say I really fancy Chelsea now. Man Utd have easily been the better side, but those missed chances chances could really haunt Man Utd now. Got to say Carrick really missed a golden oppotunity after Cech had saved from Tevez.

What a fantastic 30 minutes after a sterile first 15 minutes.

With a dodgy pitch, with players slipping as the night progresses, this match has all the makings of a classic like Liverpool's wonderfully ridiculous (that Slyvestor Stallone would have rejected the plot) victory versus AC Milan.

But so far...

Would Ronaldo be able to show his best on the Final stage, when so often he does not? = Answer YES.

Would Frank Lampard be able to put emotion aside to inspire his team with a goal? = Answer YES.

Who is going to win? = Answer I have not got a clue. I'm going to enjoy the remainder as a neutral and may the best side win. Here's to a 4-3 after extra time thriller... :w00t:

Does Ronaldo really have to do a complete stop before he takes the penalty?

who was the man united player bent over on the floor?

Giggs scores.

Nicola? I thought it was Nicolas?

lol

Wow russia is wet.

MISSES!!!!!

UNITED WIN :o

I knew Terry would miss, a second before he took it i said to Jonny on MSN he'll put it over the bar, but he hit the post

Fair do's to Man Utd, i think Chelsea were much better tbh, but United did the business when it mattered.

I think Man Utd were very lucky to win, but as I said earlier, luck wins you football matches.

Poor Terry though. Must be horrid for him.

Best footballing side my arse! They were c**p tonight, Rooney was playing? A midfielder kept the worlds 'best player' quiet for 80% of the game. Chelsea deserved that, gutted for Terry, wou;d've been poetic justice if that staggering run up p*ssy had cost them the game!

^ Rooney WAS playing?  I feel sorry for Terry, and Ronaldo fucking up again.

Shame Chelsea didn't win, they deserve it more..

I feel so sorry for Terry. But it was kind of his own fault for stepping up to take the penalty, but you could see how much he wanted to win it for Chelsea. And I agree about Ronaldo too. Would have been such good headlines. I really hate knowing loads of people that "support" Man Utd too. :( They're all ringing and texting me WHEN I DON'T EVEN SUPPORT CHELSEA! Silly people.

Bar Tevez and Evra, I thought Man Utd were totally no-existant tonight. Evra or Essien motm overall for me.

really happy Man U won was a bit unsure there for a while in the middle but it all worked out in the end :yahoo:

Complete understatement to say United didn't deserve to win and were 'non-existant' We completely dominated the first half until the goal, could've been 3 or 4 up by the time we got into the second half. Chelsea dominated the second and it was pretty much an even playing field in extra time, swinging moreso towards Chelsea when Anelka came on and moreso towards United when Drog got the red. I really doubt I watched the same game to lots of you!

In the end I think it was one of those were both teams deserved to win though. John Terry must be feeling bad right now but it's Drogba who should be hurting the most (alas he won't, he'll still be sulking about how this could damage his dream move to Milan in the summer..).

Certainly proved everyone wrong who said it'd be a boring final too, it definitely lived up to the past few years standards without doubt. And what a fitting way to mark the 50th anniversary of Munich too.

As a Liverpool supporter I can say without bias that for the 4th year running the worst side won the European Cup Final. But that is why football is the beautiful game.

Drogba got the karma he deserved for his cheating towards Liverpool in the Semi Finals, but it was an outrage how Tevez stayed on the pitch to take the first penalty for Man Utd, considering how he stayed on the pitch for his assault on Carvalho, grabbing his mouth and causing it to bleed, then fouling Drogba, causing him to retaliate.

I was so chuffed when Ronaldo penalty was saved, as that was karma for how he shafted England (the cheating bar steward) in the 2006 World Cup Q-Finals.

I feel so sorry for Frank Lampard (a player I've slagged off on Buzzjack probably over a dozen times) but he so did not deserve to be on the losing side tonight.

As for John Terry, he did a David Beckham and lost his footing, when he'd fooled Van Der Sar with his penalty, so I feel sorry for him, even though I do not like him.

But when that money grabbing Nicolas Anelka stood up to take a penalty I was delighted when he missed, even though now I have to declare Sir Alex Ferguson as the greatest British manager of all-time ahead of Brian Clough.

As my Dad, my sister and my younger nephew on my sister's side support the Soccer Club United of Manchester, I have to say through gritted teeth that I'm delighted for them.

As tonight was proof that there is a God and that the Busby Babes of the Munich Air disaster of 1958 hold more influence than Frank Lampard's mum and Matthew Harding, because from the beginning of the second half Avram Grant annihilated old Fergie tactically.

 That is all.

And luck can really win it for a team. Man Utd have suffered from it too in the past, and not in their favour either. A certain FA Cup final a few years back with that Gunners lot for example...
