Posted May 21, 200817 yr Amy Surprise Glasto set Winehouse to support Jay-Z at fest BBC 6 MUSIC NEWS 21 May 08 - It's been announced that Amy Winehouse will be playing a set at this year's Glastonbury festival - she's supporting Jay-Z on the Saturday night. Speaking exclusively to the BBC, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis explained: "It's a big slot and they will be an amazing team. "I think they're both big fans of each other and I think it'll be the ultimate party end to the Saturday night. It's gonna be a good double header." She went on: "We kept it quiet for a bit....We always quite enjoy keeping things secret until nearer the festival and so we've held off on a couple of things. "There are still some more announcements to come but Amy Winehouse is the most recent and a big one for us. "It's really exciting because she's played Glastonbury a few times. I think she played twice last year and so we kind of see her as a good, classic Glastonbury performer.""I have total faith - I really, really do. I think she'll come and she'll deliver" Emily Eavis When asked about Amy's recent troubles and unpredictable behaviour, Emily said: "Well I don't know y'know? I don't know how much is sort of hot air from the press and how much is the reality. "She is pretty reliable actually. I think all the important things, the big gigs that she's done, she's turned up to. People are like 'oh, is it safe?' I would say it's pretty damn safe. "I have total faith - I really, really do. I think she'll come and she'll deliver and this is one of the biggest sets of the summer really. This is like supporting the most anticipated artist at Glastonbury in 38 years so it's gonna be an amazing set." Glastonbury festival runs from 27 until 29 June. May 22, 200817 yr Wow, Jay-Z & Wino.= Amazing, BUT she's in no state to perform. I personally wouldn't go and watch her at this period of time. -_-
