May 21, 200817 yr Heavy On My Heart - I believe that this song is Anastacia's best, lyrically, as it uses a whole bunch of poetic terms. Imagery is huge part of Heavy On My Heart lines such as "Even Though we're underneath the same blue sky", "It would be a violen with out its strings", "Like pretty flowers and a sunset" and "I never thought I'd touch an angels wings". These are all imagery because they paint a picture in our minds. Alliteration and Assonance are found in the title "Heavy On My Heart". If breath in the first "Hea" and breath out the second this creates a shy. I for one thing this was really clever and only just recently noticed it. Methaphor such as "Love, can you find me in the darkness" and "there's a journey in my eyes". These are methaphor because they can't possibly be through. Obviously there's a rhyming scheme in the song. No need for me to mention that. Anastacia makes the lyrics sad and very descriptive towards her battle with Cancer but like all the people that get dignosed with Cancer she starts to apperchiate the sipmlest things in life such as "pretty flowers", "the ocean" and a "sunset" I give the sing good strong 10/10 as I find no faults in it. Sorry I had to write all that. I just want people not just to take in the voice and the music but also notice what makes up a good song lyricly. Did anyone notice all that in the song? and also am I missing anything? YOUR ALL  Me =
May 21, 200817 yr i had to listen again to see if i could hear it too and i could i fear my review will not match up to your one though
May 21, 200817 yr nope! I'm :D I love the lyrics. It paints a picture of all the happiness as well as the sadness she went through. The song makes me get tears in my eyes, but You'll Never Be Alone makes me cry becuase I lost my grandpa in 2002 and this song as well as the rest of Freak of Nature helped me get through that time. It was also the cd that got me hooked on Ana and made me want to be part of a different crowd.
May 21, 200817 yr I understand how you feel, I never got over my great granny. She died when I was 4 and I still feel like crying everytime I think of her and songs like You'll Never Be Alone ad Heavy On My Heart help me cry all the tears out so I can become happy again And also my friend died last year the same applies

May 21, 200817 yr Rearview is in my top ten, such a powerful song. Her voice towards the end is amazing, makes my hair stand on end.
May 21, 200817 yr Author Wishing Well 'Dreams unfold and you cast a spell, Everybody's free in the wishing well'. Wouldn't you rather JUMP into the well and just let yourself drown? Yes, would be the answer. No this is not your cutsie poem written by the average 6 year old, it is indeed 1/12th of the 'Not That Kind' album which has to date sold 5 million copies worldwide. Makes you think? In this epic and dynamic piece, Anastacia drones on about her desired feelings of how one day she would like to spread peace, joy and happiness about the well at the bottom of her garden. And what is the outcome of this amazingly written toon? Well, a perfect example of how a song should not be done. It slaps you in the face, and boy it slaps hard. Anastacia, I think you may have some dead fish in your well.. 1/2Star out of 5.
May 21, 200817 yr The Saddest Part One of my favourite songs in the world. Anastacia's voice is soft and soby to match the theme and the mode of the song. The music behind aso flows. Like HOMH, "The Saddest Part" uses poetry in its lyrics - Metaphor is one mainly used in lines like "my life is always pretending", "I gave up your shadow and thats the coldest truth", whole chorus is metaphor and most of the rest of the song is written metaphoricly. - Rhyming Scheme obviously used. - Imagery of this song is rarely used. Instead of imagery to move us, the song uses heartfelt lyrics such as "I loved you the best that I could", "I will always dream of you" and "I placed you to far above me, I placed you to far above me" What I always found intresting was the line "and my scars they made no shame". This line made me wonder if at one stage they were togheter and he bet her up and still she lovs him. 10/10
