Wishing Well

'Dreams unfold and you cast a spell, Everybody's free in the wishing well'. Wouldn't you rather JUMP into the well and just let yourself drown? Yes, would be the answer. No this is not your cutsie poem written by the average 6 year old, it is indeed 1/12th of the 'Not That Kind' album which has to date sold 5 million copies worldwide. Makes you think? In this epic and dynamic piece, Anastacia drones on about her desired feelings of how one day she would like to spread peace, joy and happiness about the well at the bottom of her garden.

And what is the outcome of this amazingly written toon? Well, a perfect example of how a song should not be done. It slaps you in the face, and boy it slaps hard. Anastacia, I think you may have some dead fish in your well..

1/2Star out of 5.

That was a bit harsh!!!!!!!

The title "Wishing Well" is alliteration

Its cheesy and perfect song for children.

And also Anastacia didn't write it!!!

I would give it at least a 5/10

Yeah I know she didn't write it, and since when has Anastacia's music appealed to children?

At least a 5? That's like average.

Great review Sprock Chick. Only Frank can top that one

But I love HOMH, not my favourite Ana song but probably my fav. video. It's so sad at the end

erm what!? :P

Welcome to my truth - A sad song but with a happy upbeat chorus, as sprock chick said, Anastacia uses poetry in her songs and this is another ''I used to feel disguised, now i leave the mask behind' - clever and touching lyrics in the way they are, if you get me :P. I think this song is different to all others, well, most ana songs are but this one has a place of it's own. i'm glad it was picked as a single because it's one of my top 10 favourite songs.

sorry it's c**p but i'm not good at this sorta stuff lol:P

Well I'm 15 and I became a Anastacia fan when I was 11.

Also my sister (aged 4) and cousin (aged 4) love One Day in Your Life

I never introduced wishing well to them yet!

Nice review ;)

I really like this song, and the video for it is my favourite video from Anastacia! She looks GORGEOUS!!

I completely agree

i love listening to the soft part of the song when in a roofless car and the wind is blowing through my hair

Its really amazin'

in your eyes

a track from POAD. why it was not a single is reaaly annoiyng. it is such a beautiful song with an amazijg chorus and a fab powerful ending that amazed me the first time i heard it. like wiht so many of her songs the lyrics are wondrful "i'm like a bird in the sky, you helped me to fly" and also "But I see in your eyes

You wear no disguise"

and this is a great song performed live, in many performances ana cries which shows how much emotion is packed into this song.
