The fukk??? Taken from Perez Hilton..:

Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler has checked in to Las Encinas Hospital, the rehab facility where Dr. Drew practices in Pasadena, CA.

When contacted, Tyler's reps had no comment.

It's not clear what Tyler checked in to battle, though it is reported to be "substance" abuse.

Stay tuned for updates!

Get well soon, Steven…and stop living on the edge!

I REALLY doubt it, Stevens been sober for almost 20 years now.

Uh oh.

Some friends of rehabbing rocker Steven Tyler are blaming the Aerosmith frontman’s rocky two-year relationship with galpal Erin Brady for his relapse into substance abuse.

But others surmise that the legendary lead singer’s poor health over the past few years may have led to a dependence on painkillers.

TMZ.com reported yesterday that the Boston bad boy, 60, signed himself into Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena - the site of VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab.” Before Steven fell off the wagon and decided to seek out the help of Dr. Drew Pinsky, Las Encinas’ drug counselor-to-the-D-List-stars, he reportedly had been drug-free for some 20 years.

But two years ago, Tyler’s wife of 17 years, Teresa - who friends call “the love of his life” - left him for a much younger handyman. Shortly thereafter, Tyler and Brady began dating, and rumors began to circulate that the longtime 12-stepper had fallen off the wagon.

Brady, a 30-something rocker chick and former Clear Channel tour accountant, seemed to embrace the rock ’n’ roll lifestyle with a vengeance. In December, she brawled with a tribal VIP’s daughter at the Florida Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino during a night of wild partying with Tyler.

Steven sent her packing after the nightclub incident, much to the relief of some of his pals. But the pair reunited shortly thereafter.

The couple showed up at Opening Day at Fenway Park [map], where the former Toxic Twin warbled through the national anthem on unsteady footing - which brings us to the other theory about Tyler’s entry to rehab.

“He’s had throat surgeries, a long bout with hep(atitis) C and two foot surgeries,” said one F.O.S. “He’s been in a lot of pain. And she’s a party girl. Not a good combination.”

One source said Tyler “looked like he was going to topple over” on the field during the national anthem. “He had a wide-foot stance and he was weaving. At one point, he spun around to wave to the crowd and I thought he was going to go down.”

After singing oh-say-can-you-see, Tyler, who was recovering from foot surgery, took in the game from the Monster Seats with his on-again lady.

Ironically, just two weeks ago Tyler took part in a star-studded benefit concert for MusicCares’ MAP Fund, which helps addicted musicians get into rehab. Steven belted out “Mama Kin” and presented the sober Slash of Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver with an award.

During the concert, there was a tribute to Bob Timmons, a well-known drug counselor in the music biz, who died in March. Timmons used to go out on tour with Aerosmith in the ’80s and ’90s when the band was managed by Tim Collins.

The band fired Collins in 1996 despite the fact that he had managed the Bad Boys for 12 years, got all the members off drugs and rebuilt Aerosmith into one of America’s hottest rock acts.

Collins said Tyler, et al, were weary of being poster boys for sobriety but the deposed manager also suspected that the lead singer had fallen off the wagon - a rumor Tyler denied.

According to Web site TMZ.com, the Las Encinas Hospital rehab clinic where Tyler will detox is the same facility where “Hollywood Madame” Heidi Fleiss and pop star Aaron Carter will be treated as they make a public attempt at sobriety on VH1’s “Celebrity Rehab” next month.

BOSTON:

Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler has checked into a drug rehabilitation clinic in Pasadena, Calif., according to the celebrity website TMZ.com. Responding to a query from The Boston Globe, Mitch Schneider, spokesman for Tyler and the band, said in an e-mail: "I don't know anything about it and have left word with the band's management." Tyler, 60, was in Las Encinas Hospital's rehab program yesterday getting treatment for "substance abuse," according to TMZ.com. (It's the same facility where the reality show "Celebrity Rehab" was filmed.) Tyler and guitarist Joe Perry were often called the "Toxic Twins" because of their hard-partying rock 'n' roll lifestyle. But in recent years, Tyler and the other members of Aerosmith had been outspoken about cleaning up their lives. In 2001, the same year the Boston-based band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Tyler had a wing at a Roxbury rehab clinic center named in his honor for his financial and outspoken support of Victory Programs. Tyler was even able to joke about dealing with past demons. In a 2002 interview with the Globe, Tyler explained his willingness to do a "Got Milk?" ad: "Hey, if it's funny enough, do it. I mean, I would do an ad for rehab if they used [our song] 'Take Me to the Farm.' One thing I learned from the '80s is that it's good to have a sense of humor."

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Checks Into Rehab Facility: Report

Steven Tyler, the charismatic 60-year-old frontman for longtime Boston rockers Aerosmith and father of actress Liv Tyler, has reportedly checked himself into Las Encinas Hospital's drug rehabilitation clinic in Pasadena, California, according to TMZ.com. At press time, a spokesperson for the band could not be reached for comment.

The treatment center is where noted addiction medicine specialist and radio talk-show host Dr. Drew Pinsky practices. It also served as the stage for Pinsky's "Celebrity Rehab" reality series.

While the report wasn't specific, Tyler, who once said, "Four rehabilitation centers for drug abuse later, I've been able to take a long, hard look at my behavior," is said to be receiving treatment for substance abuse.

The news comes just two years after Tyler publicly revealed he'd been diagnosed with hepatitis C, a dangerous liver disease that claims 8,000 to 10,000 lives a year in the United States. Tyler claims he has since cleared the disease from his bloodstream, and while it's not known how he contracted it, users who inject illicit drugs can transmit the disease by sharing needles or other drug paraphernalia.

Of course, Tyler's no stranger to addiction. In the 1970s and early 1980s, "the Demon of Screamin' " was known for his drug and alcohol abuse both on- and offstage, which garnered him and lead guitarist Joe Perry the nickname "the Toxic Twins." Tyler successfully received treatment for his disease and was going on over 20 years of sobriety before this alleged setback.

Steven Tyler Enters Rehab At 60

The rocker was thought to be clean for 20 years

Aerosmith's Steven Tyler has checked into rehab in California at the age of 60.

The singer was thought to have been clean for over 20 years after struggling with drug problems in the 1970s and '80s, but is now suffering from an unspecified substance abuse problem.

Tyler, once known along with guitarist Joe Perry as 'The Toxic Twins', has checked into Las Encinas Hospital in Pasadena, according to US Magazine.

The clinic is used as the location for American reality TV show 'Celebrity Rehab'.

Tyler was diagnosed with Hepatitis C, contracted from drug paraphernalia, in 2003, but is now free of the disease, which has also affected former drug users such as Marianne Faithfull and David Crosby, following intensive chemotherapy.

Dammit!

This comes from TMZ, who only have sources on the fact that he checked into a rehab facility. Which is weird, as in the last week he's been looking fine. I REALLY hope he dosn't come back into rehab, he fell the hardest any artist has ever fell over 20 years ago, and then came back after treatment which is known as 'Best Rock Comeback Of All Time'. [bit of facts there. ] But anyway, if he's back on the crack/herion, then it just goes against everything he's said for the last 20 years. :(

I'm disappointed in him!!

He said he was clean for 20 years.

I thought he was a guy who changed his life around

Obviously he didn't.

At least he's trying to get clean again!!!

An artical from The Sun:

AEROSMITH frontman STEVEN TYLER has checked into rehab for substance abuse.

The veteran rocker admitted himself to a Pasadena, California clinic for unspecified treatment this week.

The former hellraiser has been sober now for a 20 years, so it has come as a shock why he has decided to fall back into the habit - however it is not known if this spell is for drink or drugs.

He first sought treatment in 1986 after finding himself under pressure from his bandmates to clean up his act.

According to website TMZ.com, Steve will undergo detox at Las Encinas Hospital drug rehabilitation clinic - the same facility where Hollywood Madame HEIDI FLEISS, rocker SEBASTIAN BACH and pop star AARON CARTER will be treated as they make a public attempt at sobriety on U.S. reality TV programme Celebrity Rehab next month.

In their day the singer and Aerosmith guitarist JOE PERRY - dubbed the Toxic Twins - would take huge amounts of both cocaine and heroin which almost ended the bands career in the 1980s.

It has been a tough month for the superstar rocker, whose daughter LIV recently went public with her split from rocker husband ROYSTON LANGDON.

Steve credited his actress daughter's influence for his first successful attempt at sobriety.

Steve's spokesperson has declined to comment on his current condition.

In September 2006, the Aerosmith frontman revealed that in 2003 he had been diagnosed with hepatitis C and had undergone 11 months of treatment.

Looks like he'll be their for a while. Dam, I don't think we'll get an album by September time. :(

:o $h!t. Hope hes ok...

There goes your husband :kink:

30-May-08Steven Tyler UPDATE

STEVEN TYLER checked himself into a rehab facility earlier this month after a series of surgeries and post-operative physical therapy (to correct long-time foot injuries resulting from his trademark athletic performance onstage).

“The doctors told me the pain in my feet could be corrected but it would require a few surgeries over time,” Tyler says. “The ‘foot repair’ pain was intense, greater than I'd anticipated. The months of rehabilitative care and the painful strain of physical therapy were traumatic. I really needed a safe environment to recuperate where I could shut off my phone and get back on my feet. Make no mistake, AEROSMITH has no plans to stop rocking. There’s a new album to record, then another tour.”
