I don't mind something like 'Left Outside Alone', she does that style of music really well.

 

But that was over 4 years ago! Music has really matured, and for this project her genre just needs to grow or else she'll end up sounding really dated.

The charts these days are filled with more alternative musicians. Even simple acts like the Ting Tings [#1 at the moment], they are pop, but compared to music back in 2004 there is a whole lot of difference.

and there is fewer poppy artists or singers with a unique sound everyone is soundong the same

anastacia is good at not following the trend everyone does she makes her own type of music sprock and we all love it

i want that sort of uniquness in her new album

Amy Winehouse, Duffy, Adele, 3 big upcomming female artists with unique voices. Yes Anastacia does not follow a trend, but does she really set them? :lol: Very few poppy singers? Well, lets see some of 2008's biggest releases so far,

 

Duffy, Madonna, Ting Tings, Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Scouting For Girls, Mika.. hmm, seems all pop to me!

What I mean from different, is that I wan't her to move completely AWAY from this commercial pop/rock genre she sticks to. When I heard about the acoustic/electronic album I was real pleased, it's something alternative, not radio friendly.

 

I think Not that kind (the song) is pretty soulish. And it's deffo not blues.

Duffy has a soulfull voice who makes pop records.

Ting Tings make pop, that's quite alternative (?). [btw, Indie is not a genre, it stands for Independant as in the record label].

Rihanna is pop, she's not RnB at all.

Leona is FAR from RnB, have you heard her album? It's pop.
