Posted May 25, 200817 yr I've heard the movie The Strangers is inspired by real events, apprantly the Manson murders. Anyone know? Either way, it looks really creepy. After watching the trailer, I don't think I can sleep tonight... honestly one of the most chilling I've ever seen. The Strangers - Trailer It looks similar to the French film Ils/Them. I hope it's a more psychological type of horror, instead of the predictable bloodbath-style flick. I wouldn't mind seeing Scott Speedman get slaughtered onscreen however.
May 26, 200817 yr Tbh, it doesn't at all seem to be based upon the Manson Family murders at all from what I've read on IMDb... That is a story that only someone like Rob Zombie could direct with the requisite amount of sheer, unadulterated horror and tension... This does, however, sound rather interesting..... It's the director's first film as well, I always like to give first-time directors a fair shout....

June 15, 200817 yr I saw this and it scared the $h!t out of me, the best horror movie I have seen in a while! There were some parts thatjust left you going, "WTF", but overall it was a solid horror film! 8/10 Edited June 15, 200817 yr by Tyler
June 18, 200817 yr I saw it and OMG, I was so scared. I kind of wanted more to the story. The ending wasn't great but overall it kept me on the edge of my seat which is good. I don't scare easily.
