November 25, 200816 yr Eryc Prydz and his "Pjanoo" are very close not only from toping the chart of the whole 2008,but they are just a few points from becoming DFC's most succesful song.If they spent the next chart this Sunday higher than No.6,something i'm sure that will happen, they will collect a record breaking amount of points. Now David Guetta's "Tomorrow Can Wait" has 181 points, while "Pjanoo" has 176 so far.

Eric Prydz`s "Pjanoo" manages to collect 3 more points than David Guetta`s hit "Tomorrow Can Wait" and thus becomes the new record holder of frequency points. That`s 184 points for Eric. Armin Van Buuren continues his yo-yo movements in the top 10 and this is his chart run so far: 9 - 5 - 5 - 9 - 7 - 6 - 9 - 6 - 5 - 3 - 8 - 6-... It would be interesting to see where this will end! December 1, 200816 yr Just one question for you Jamse:you said that Pjanoo has 186 points but i count them as 184.The chart run for this song is the following: 6-2-1-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-2-2-2-2-3 and points like this: 5-10-13-10-13-13-13-13-13-13-10-10-10-10-10-10-8? And what can you say about this awful new entry?Too much garage or just a random new stuff?
December 1, 200816 yr The chart run for this song is the following: 6-2-1-2-1-1-1-1-1-1-2-2-2-2-2-2-3 Absolutely ridiculous. Talk about OVERRATED. Same goes for the awful Tomorrow Can Wait by MTV's own overrated dance artist David Guetta.

And what can you say about this awful new entry?Too much garage or just a random new stuff? Thanx for the correction, absolutely correct; 184 points for Eric Prydz and "Pjanoo". After hearing "Mash It Up" for the first time; not really rocking my boat either.

December 8, 200816 yr Author 2008-12-07 Guru Josh Project`s "Infinity 2008" has reigned the dfc for now 8 weeks straight and that`s a tangential record for the longest number 1 of this year together with David Guetta`s hit "Tomorrow Can Wait" and a continued reign at the top will lead to a better record. It is indeed quite difficult to dispute this considering that there isn´t yet a strong enough contender for the top spot even though Armin Van Buuren abruptly becomes the first runner up in his 13th week with "In And Out Of Love". Michael Mind who was their last week falls 8 places to number 10 and earlier this year we noted that as the biggest fall on the top 10 for Noisia`s "Gutterpunk"...and now the same for "Show Me Love". This weeks new entry and also debutants are Peacemakers and Danielle Senior with "Take It To The Dancefloor" entering at 9.

December 15, 200816 yr 1. ( 1 ) Guru Josh Project - Infinity 2008 2. ( * ) David Guetta - Everytime We Touch 4. ( 5 ) Eric Prydz - Pjanoo go away please. Guru has spent far too long at the top, anything David Guetta releases is immediately overrated, I mean debuting at #2? And Pjanoo is so old, get out!
December 16, 200816 yr Author 2008-12-14 Guru Josh Project has dominated our dfc chart for 9 consecutive weeks with the highly infectious "Infinity 2008" and we all know what that means...that is the longest stay at the top of the countdown but the person whom they`re sharing this record with isn`t going to let them get more as he breaks straight in at number 2 with yet another single from the "Poplife" album. The title is "Everytime We Touch" and is the 5th single of that record and isn`t a cover of Cascada. The biggest fall on the chart is becoming popular as this weeks victim is Armin Van Buuren sliding down from first runner up to the bottom of the chart.

December 21, 200816 yr Totally predictable and undeserved #1. Fedo Mora finally charts, but why now when it was a Summer hit?
December 24, 200816 yr Author 2008-12-21 David Guetta knocks Guru Josh Project from the top and gains a 5th hit from his latest album. If he doesn`t remain king of the chart for 9 weeks, we class "Infinity 2008" as the song of the year according to number 1 survival. The new entry this week is from Fedo Mora and Camurri with "After The Rain" at number 8. Merry Christmas
December 24, 200816 yr Author go away please. Guru has spent far too long at the top, anything David Guetta releases is immediately overrated, I mean debuting at #2? And Pjanoo is so old, get out! Fedo Mora finally charts, but why now when it was a Summer hit? This Dancefloor Chart is only a commercial dance chart so the dance music presented in the show is meant to appeal to a wider audience and hence the reason why the known and popular dance songs remain in the countdown for so long. The show however doesn`t clearly reflect the dance tracks played in clubs across the European continent and this is because MTV is only dependent on what dance videos are available and what videos they have access to and it`s probably an established fact that perhaps only 5% of real club music is available on video. This means that MTV misses to play a whole 95% of real dance music. Furthermore, most dance videos are made for the promotion of dance music which seem to have a big market or have the potential of being really successful. Edited December 24, 200816 yr by Jamse

December 29, 200816 yr Author 2008-12-28 Let`s wind up this year by presenting some records in the top 10. Guru Josh Project tops the last chart of the year 2008 and thereby sets a new record for the longest stay at the top of the countdown - 10 weeks in total! He knocks David Guetta to number 2 and this man has had the most number of hits - 6 number 1`s. Eric Prydz shuffles a couple of notches back up the chart to number 4 with "Pjanoo" and this song has collected the highest number of points so far - 209 points. This song will probably stand for the longest chart survival too with its 21 weeks although at the moment sharing the record with Funkerman`s "Speed Up". For the 13th consecutive week the top 10 has hosted only one new entry at a time and this time it`s Kid Cudi Vs Crookers with "Day ´N`Night" and they break in at number 5. Could this track be our next hit? Stay tune for next years charts to find out and then we`ll also know if Armin Van Buuren who repeatedly refuses to drop out of the chart can be the longest chart sitter, whether Guru Josh Project might set the bar of topping the chart too high or will Eric do that for the longest stay or better yet highest points...
