AT LAST!!!

Could Alesha Dixon be the new Rihanna? Record bosses certainly seem to think so. The star spent yesterday in a Kensington hotel hammering out the last details of a £300,000 recording contract with Asylum, an offshoot of Atlantic Records. Record label bosses are already planning to team her up with some of the producers behind Rihanna’s huge success.

"They want to get the very best people for her to work with to create her own strong sound," a source tells theBuzz. "She wants to move fast and to get an album out this year," a source tells us.

Malcolm Blair, Alesha's Music Manager, told theBuzz this morning: "We are delighted with the deal, we've had offers from all the major labels and it's taken a long time for us to find the right partnership. We chose Ayslum (part of Atlantic) because they share our vision of making Alesha a global Superstar and have a great track record of breaking UK acts internationally"

So she's with Atlantic. I'm SO excited to hear what she comes out with!

Fired Up is a decent album with 5 or 6 great songs; her first real release will be amazing, I'm sure. B)

Lipstick was shockingly good, but Knockdown was awful compared.

Her voices aggravates me a little though, but i will look forward to seeing as to what she comes out with ^_^

Her music is pretty much an even split of R&B and pop, I find, and she MC's, so in here she goes. ;)

I used to adore Knockdown and remarkably had never even heard Lipstick. Now I adore Lipstick and find Knockdown 2nd-best! :heehee:

Does anybody else have the Fired Up album? The closing track Voodoo is on constant repeat for me. I cannot get enough!

Lipstick was good, I enjoyed that so I cant wait. ^_^
I'm looking forward to her solo career, so far i'm 50/50 regarding her previous singles. Lipstick was great but Knockdown was a mess, a rubbish version of Trick Me

Knockdown and Trick Me are nothing alike except for sharing a slightly reggae-tinged beat? They aren't even the same tempo...
Every time I've heard 'Knock Down' I've thought of 'Trick Me', they are quite similar I think. I didn't mind it, but 'Lipstick' was about a million times better.

According to some her lead single has already been chosen and will be launched at some point next month. ^_^
Ting-A-Ling official release would be amazing :D

I doubt anything at all from the Fired Up album will be on the new album except maybe as bonus tracks. It's a new era. ^_^

"knock down" is hot.

go alesha!

Both Lipstick and Knockdown were both brilliant. Hopefully this album will also be good.
