I've just been made redundant (well ... in the building market at the moment ... everyone's being laid off). I'm not upset ... it means I can sign on straight away and I've got a little spending money to-boot! And believe me ... it is a LITTLE. I'll easily get another job after a month or two anyway.

Thats awful norma,did u expect the news or was it a total shock??The building industry is very bad here in ireland at the moment also thousands of people have lost their jobs and it all happened so quick it was like one minute everything was fine the next the country was in crisis,why can u not sign on straight away when u made redundant as i would hav ethought u get sign on straight away??
