Yeah, I'm a trendwhore, sue me :smoke: Just thinking about the following 50 songs makes me itch to douse myself in petrol and bring out the lighter, so I feel I must share  Anyway, the contributions from each year are as follows:

1991 - 2

1996 - 1

1997 - 1

1998 - 2

2000 - 1

2001 - 3

2002 - 4

2003 - 7

2004 - 5

2005 - 5

2006 - 5

2007 - 6

2008 - 8

Probably a bit subjective towards this year from that list, but hey, I reckon all 8 will stand the test of time so hush :heehee:

50: Macedonia 2000 - XXL - 100% Te Ljubam (100% I Love You) // 15th; 29 points

It's called a guilty pleasure so hush :( The live performance was obvs awful, but the studio version appeals to me in an odd and twisted way. Unfortunately this is the only Macedonian entry in this list! But I reckon Karolina's 2007 entry could easily have given this a run for its money had I not tried to limit the amount of entries from the last three years :smoke: Thank god most Eurocritics don't know about the live performance of this, otherwise it would be a difficult point to counter that neighbourly voting for the sake of neighbourly voting doesn't exist in some forms!

Hideous song, absolutely awful. The performance capped off its $h!tness.
ooh, glad to see you jumping on le bandwagon Trash! I'll be expecting Euroband, Kalomira, Maria and enough schlager to sink a ship :cheer:

:arrr: Everyone start to make these threads now, but i can't due to the exam times  Anyway when i will be back with mine noone is gonna be here :drama:

8 2008 songs :o :o For Life is in here i bet :P

49: Greece 2003 - Mando - Never Let You Go // 17th; 25 points

Leathertastic :kink: Severely underrated, didn't deserve to flop, was very sexy and actually quite a good song etc. etc. - just read David's review of it for this :smoke: I thought this would easily go top 10 tbh :( Ah well, they've made up for it since then :drink:

48: Belgium 2004 - Xandee - 1 Life // 22nd; 7 points

Oh Xandee, we all thought you were going to follow up on Urban Trad's second place and bring us all to Brussels for 2005, but you had to go and ruin this dance anthem by not being able to sing  Tut! :smoke:

:heehee:, the anal sex song had better be top 10 :smoke:

47: Norway 2005 - WigWam - In My Dreams // 9th; 125 points

Who would've thought this would ever work at Eurovision?! KISS impersonators care of Norway do glam rock, and the results were actually surprisingly good! :o Despite being a rather mediocre year, I did manage to surprise myself with how many great songs I could pull out of it, even if it was mostly poor follow-ups to/inspired by the year before *cough*Javine*cough* :smoke:

I just now listened to all 2005 songs, i do adore this song, have you heard the Eurobandid version of it? Fantastique

I don't really understand why this only finished 9th when Lordi won (the following year)!?! I don't like either of them though :(

Lordi had the costumes :(

46: Portugal 2003 - Rita Guerra - Deixa-me Sonhar // 22nd; 13 points

The sole Portuguese entry on this list (although Senhora do Mar came very close!), this really didn't deserve such a low finish. A divine ballad which would've done great things in a better position - and given the trends of the times, in English - Rita was quite frankly begging for a Barbara Dex Award with that snake skin she was wearing :heehee:

I never did think much to Rita Guerra. :( Thought it was pretty bland tbh, not surprised it did so badly. Norway 2005 is a hideous song as well imo, I got worried for a while that that was going to win! Mind you, I also thought that Croatia would come top three that year!
I quite liked Rita, we was like an older uglier version of Shakira...her song was nice though

45: Belgium 2003 - Urban Trad - Sanomi // 2nd; 165 points

Why do we never get results this close anymore? :manson: I'm sure all of Europe can find it in their hearts to go down to the wire again someday instead of having Dima Bilan win with 5 votes left to go! -_- Anyway, on the song itself! Yes, this was very quirky and new-agey, although in all honesty I would've been happy with any of the top 5 winning that year! O Julissi really wasn't a patch on this at all, and at least Urban Trad could sing in tune...

44: Georgia 2007 - Sopho - Visionary Dream // 12th; 97 points

What a debut! Were it not for the shrieky vocals in parts, this could well have challenged for the top 5 - and what gall to make an entry with a Cossack swordfight played out to this wonderful Bjork rip-off! :heehee: There was no way that Diana Gurtskaya deserved to top this...

43: Russia 2003 - t.A.T.u. - Ne Ver Ne Bojsia (help me out here Pavel :() // 3rd; 164

Overrated? Attention seeking? Rightful winner of 2003? Possibly the most controversial entry thus far this decade, t.A.T.u. (nursing sapphic personalities at the time) caused massive headaches for the heads of Eurovision after threatening to perform naked and refusing to turn up to rehearsals due to 'sore throats', as well as courting controversy amongst magazines after making lewd claims about Lou, the German representative :heehee: Naturally I love it :smoke: If there is one reason for me to dislike this song, it has to be the never-dying rumour that had the Irish televote been submitted Russia would've won - they would've actually come 2nd, but that doesn't stop the odd allegation -_-

42: United Kingdom 2003 - Jemini - Cry Baby // 26th; 0 points

Oh Jemini, WHY? :( Seriously...why? I can't bring myself to hate the studio version although the live performance nearly brings me to tears. The moment when it all went wrong, when the political east vs. west theory took hold after an unfortunate coincidental last place with the Iraq War occurring just two month before, when the UK lost faith in the contest, just as things were beginning to look up again. Why Jemini...why?! :(

And I don't care if you're ashamed to be recognised in the street Gemma, you deserve it for that awful performance tbh :smoke:
