The top two will be 'Vertigo' and 'Song #1' I reckon. ^_^ And Katrina doesn't actually hold the record for the best average either - that record goes to Brotherhood of Man! Katrina has the one for the biggest victory margin I think.

You have no idea how hard it was to decide a winner out of these two fantastic songs :o :( Both deserved to win in their respective years, both were cruelly robbed by trash just in front of them, and both were generally acknowledged on Buzzjack as having been better songs than those that beat them...
Oh actually... you've left either Ira Losco or Olivia Lewis out of your top 50. :o I thought you loved them both dearly Tyron? :(

I can't believe I forgot Olivia :( She would've probably been between 41-50 in retrospect...knocking Macedonia out :heehee: Sorry Boyan! :(

But anyway, time for a TRUE robbery :smoke:

2½: United Kingdom 2007 - Cyndi - I'll Leave My Heart // 2nd; too f***ing few votes :smoke:

Yeah, f*** you Scooch, f*** you Barrowman - our greatest chance to do well in recent years, and our greatest chance to pick up on niche votes from Serbia last year :( Still, had we sent Cyndi we'd have probably taken so many points from Molitva that Verka would've won, so that I guess we can at least be thankful for...

Anyway, after all these delays, time for the top 2! :w00t:

2: Russia 2007 - Serebro - Song #1 // 3rd; 207 points

Undeniably fantastic trashy electropop that Girls Aloud would kill to cover, if I ever did an album I'd want every song to sound as good as this did - if Trashley is a genre, this is it  Who cares if the performance was slightly underwhelming? The lyrics just make the song - what can beat 'Ow, don't call me funny bunny, I'll blow your mind and money, I'll get you to my bad ass spinning for you', or 'Put a cherry on my cake and taste my cherry pie'? :heehee: This was f***ing fantastic and the whores need to hurry up and release their album so I can raid it for more BJSC entries! :smoke:

1: Malta 2002 - Ira Losco - 7th Wonder // 2nd; 164 points

I'm sorry, but why was this fantastic, uplifting, bubbly pop with an amazing performance and possibly the greatest key change in the history of mankind beaten by a cod-Latin striptease from Latvia? Why I ask you, why? Screw the petrol can, I'd have a gas station poured onto me and then set alight for this song

how excellent  the same No.1 as me! Marie N sounded all the more dire, purely because she beat this! To this day 7th Wonder is the only ESC song to top my chart for 4 consecutive weeks!
I liked Malta 2002, but I think it's a bit too... ditzy? I don't know, it's just a bit twee tbh.
shush David, its incredible :heehee: the glitter MADE the performance

I think you've answered your own question there, mate.

Yes, but key change should always beat striptease :(

I'm surprised Westlife haven''t been approached to represent Ireland yet! they're the kings of the key change

did he write Hero too? I know he writes tons of the Melodifestivalen songs  even Empty Room, which isn't his usual style at all
Three songs from Serbia in here! Isn't that too much? :o

:o :o :o OMG OMG OMG (I mean Malta 2006 :manson: ) I really believed it and haven't read the last phrase of that post

btw my favourite ESC song was almost in the end of the scoreboard :o :o I thought i'm not the only one :kink:

:(
