Candid: January 22nd 1973

On Bonhams auction site, you can find a lot of 9 candid pictures that are never seen before. A certain 'Julie' had the luck to run in to Elvis, not long after the recording of the Aloha special. You don't see a bodyguard or other person on the picture and that makes it extra interesting..Elvis took all the time to sign for Julie. The autograph comes with the auction of the 9 pictures. The estimated value is only $250...for that amount, we have a doubt about the fact that it is the authentic autograph, but the picture is still nice to see!

It seems like most of the Elvis Lots are from the collection of a fan called Julie. She was one lucky lady, but if it was me, I don't think I'd want to sell them

Auction has finished B)

A few weeks ago, we showed this unique candid shot on our website, and announced the Butterfield auction in Hollywood, where the item was to be sold. ElvisMatters member Jorrit Van Der Kooi attended the auction, and just mailed us the results. This picture, together with Elvis' signature sold for 1700 $US. A second item of interest, was an Agent Contract, which sold for 11.000 $US.

Some more great stuff  Where does it all come from and where has it been all this time :o Still think a lot of these items should be at Graceland where all his fans can enjoy seeing them instead of in the hands of collectors where they're hidden away

Rock and Roll auction offers unique Elvis Items

Fans with a large filled piggy bank can spend their money in an online auction, starting today – ending August 6. About 16 unique personal and Elvis related items are up for sale. The eye catcher is the Peacock jumpsuit with a start price of $250,000, est. sale price $325,000. Other clothing from the movies ‘Clambake’, ‘Kissin’ Cousins’ and ‘Blue Hawaii’ is also available. A ring that Elvis wore on stage has to cost $9,500 , while the catalogue also offers ‘cheaper’ items as acetates and autographs. We do have questions when it comes to the Grammy award for ‘He Touched Me’. The three Grammy’s that Elvis received are all on display in Graceland. It is not clear from who, where and when the Grammy in this auction is offered.
