Poor guy! I'd have been mortified.

 

That's the thing though, the cast literally came through all access points in the theatre.

From bebo - report from someone who loved the show - SURELY THE SOUNDTRACK MUST BE RELEASED SOON! I was along with at least 50 other audience members queueing for it in the interval. this is just an exert from a great write up.

Unfortunately there were too many mistakes....especially for suposedly experience directors/producers :(

Very few shows are now getting soundtracks CDs. Hairspray doesn't have an OLC recording because there's a Broadway one.

 

I'd settle for live recordings from the songs from shows straight from the sound desk and made available for download. I'm sure many people would. They wouldn't be CD quality but they'd be by the current cast.

The Broadway one is the original cast one. They often only have the original.

Marguerite hasnt had good reviews yet it is getting a cd. I would so love a cd of the show.

I just went on dresscircle.com to be greeted by a video playing of GWTW on their main page. Strange.

But nice - I think.

I think the mood was turning to Why? over the last week or so. It was sinking in that this show was disappearing, just as positive word of mouth was building up. There hasn't been any good riddance stuff on any of the sites, more just resigned sadness.

It's still hard to believe. I think it was the cast finding other work that persuaded me that it really was over. They'll be quite a few thousand people who just can't see why.

I wish them all the best and I'll be keeping an eye on wos etc. to try to keep up with what they're doing? Does anyone know which Wizard of Oz Jina Burrowes is joining? There's apparently one in the South bank and one connected to Sadlers Wells.

You know that site with those kids on, the one who is always having a go - obviously is very jealous of D. quote from him today think it must be a joke under casting for Priscilla. quote -Well, until he takes the tour of 'Gone With The Wind' (Opens Palace Manchester June 2009 then 5 other cities ) next summer he could do 'Buddy' at the Duchess- nobody's going to that show either!

 

Have they cast the part of Billy Bigelow in Carousel yet?

Can't find anything about a tour, Preston, but we can live in hope.

 

If GWtW toured it'd be in about a years time.

that forum makes me laugh, they are young lads from what I have gleeened, so I dont take their posts seriously, the two reviews of GWTW previews slated the show, but both were very positive about Darius, it seems only natural lads will take the mickey out of Darius in general banter.

 

I just wish something was happening - I havent been up to London to a show for a week now you know!

I think we all have withdrawal symptoms. But I guess D must be ready for a break...........let's hope it's not

too long !
